I'm taking a break from 40k before I start my gretchin army or daemon army...
so I decided to join fingers and heretic and play some LOTR.
I'm going to make a goblin army. with a fairly basic paint job I hope to put this army together within a month or so....

edit: updated army list... again ...

not sure i've ever seen so many captains hit the board at once. and i've plaed for a long time. Check out the shaman, they come in handy with a broken [>50%] force. Aside from that, trolls are good, all the time. A couple wargs with a cheiftan will add a hefty punch, if you care for that sort of thing.

First Painting update, a few Photos of the first squad of 16 goblins with Bows.
I need help picking the colour the base:
Brown - Khemri Brown
Dark - Adpetus Battlegrey
Light - Astonomican Grey

I put one of each at the front row in the photos, What do you think?

I don't play LOTR, but my friends do, I think it may be useful replacing some captains with Shamans and/or Drummers

ya, you def need atleast 2 shamans and 1 drum instead of all those captains...

and there are no squads or units in the game, just individual models

I'm still building the list and I've made some changes, to the list in the first post.
I reduced the points to 700 since that's the GT limit and added 2 shamen.

To pay for the points drop and the shamen, I dropped a captain and two trolls and a bunch of goblins...
The reason I include the captains is to give the goblins a little boost with higher strength plus a few Might Will and Fate...

Also what do the drums actually do, I can't find/don't have the drums in the deep rule?
100pts seems like alot of points...

So hows the list looking now?

Today I finnished off 16 spear men, I've been painting in sets of 16 beacuse that's four sprue frames worth...

As planned I'm happy with the scheme fairly quick to paint, they look messy upclose, but look good enmassed... Tabletop Quality...
I still have to decide what colour to paint the base trim...??
