For mine, I do the following.

Basecoat Iyandan Darksun.

Next a sloppy, but covering coat of Sunburst yellow.

Finally a wash of Gryphonne Sepia to blend it together. Looks good, and is fast.

For the added touch, a highlight of sunburst/bad moon yellow over the wash (when it dries) can help on Nobs and special character.

For me, same colours, different order:

Iyanden Darksun

Gryphonne Sepia

Sunburst Yellow

Golden Yellow

Mix of Golden Yellow and White (1:1)

Maybe a mix of 1:2 as well.

(Have I got Sunburst and Golden in the right order? The deeper one, then the lighter one, obviously)

Have a look at my gallery images to see if you like.

I'll tip my hat to JHall for recommending P3 Cygnar Yellow. It has worked its way into my yellow recipe:

GW Iyanden Darksun (foundation paint, base coat)
GW Golden Yellow
GW Gryphonne Sepia (wash)
P3 Cygnar Yellow
GW Bad Moons Yellow (if you want a bright final highlight)

Works out well, even over a black base coat.
