At first I thought that they were not around in the 41st millenium but then I read this in the dark heresy rulebook under the psyker sanctioning side effects'
pain through nerve induction: the skin on the back of your right hand is horribly scarred. you are uncomfortable around bald, robed women

to me it sounds like the sisters, but i might be wrong. any ideas?

they're different from sisters. The fluff from sisters says they weren't created until sometime way after the Heresy.

Lifeafter, to clarify: he's not talking about the Adeptus Sororitas (created sometime after Goge Vandire's Reign of Blood, IIRC) - he's talking about the 'Sisters of Silence' - some sort of Psyker-related group featuring in the Horus Heresy series, and probably elsewhere. I'm not certain, but I think they may be Untouchables, if the description of the discomfort they induce from the Flight of the Eisenstein is anything to go by.

And to the OP:

No idea, sorry.

No, the Sisters of Silence are completely different.

Not clear if they're still active in the 41st millenium. I think they are though - someone is rounding up psykers to feed to the Astronomicum.

Yea just to clarify im talking about the Sisters of Silence. the Sisters of Silence are anti psykers. they are all blanks, they are all women, they always shave their hair off and they don't talk after becoming full sisters. also if I'm correct the inquisitorial stormtroopers operate the black ships but still the whole bald women thing makes me think they might still be around and somehow involved in the sanctioning process.

I think someone more powerful than Inquisitorial Stormtroopers is rounding up rogue psykers and using them to light up the Astronomicum. Maybe it's Inquistors, maybe not. I think the Sisters are still around in some capacity, just probably now part of the Inquisition.

This would be a great topic for a BL book.

yeah, theyre still active, in the blood ravens book, two of them accompanied a sister of the lost rosetta to investigate the blood ravens of treachery, they probably tagged along because of the high number of psykers in the blood ravens
