ITT: we post our ideas of what will happen to the 40k universe in the upcoming 6th edition. I'll start.

Vehicle damage table will be: "heads-your good; Tails-it blows up."
Kroot will still suck.
Dark Eldar still wont get an update.
Everything will be more expensive.
The plot won't advance.
Space marines will get a new codex.
Necrons will still have only one troop choice.
The only army will be spess muhreens.
Spess muhreens get another codex.
Commissars will still suck.
Everything will be plastic.
More Grimdark.
Emperor sneezes and causes a massive psychic brain popping genocide.
All current Tau special characters will go the way of Aun'Shi and O'Shova and cease to exist to make way for even more terrible special characters.
Vance Stubbs still can't find those darned missing Baneblades.
Macha still cant get laid.
Space marines get another codex.
Psychers throw snowballs.

dark elder have no update and have been removed from the game and everyone's brains
Spess muhreens have volcano cannons on all 9001 arms

Space elveses continue to die to spaze marinez.
Nerons get even closer to Terra, but nothing happens.
Guard suck even more at kill points.
Marnius C. does something heroic.
Nids attack against but Marnius yells at them and they run off.
Marinez in dresses get a new codex, with all the stuff from the new one.
Spaze marinez get another codex with more cool stuff that the marinez in dresses can't have.
Some world die.
Another worldwide campaign happens, but nothing in the fluff changes.

-IG finally figures what they're flashlights are meant for
-IG gets air support
-space marines become "mail order only", go on 5 year holiday with sisters until 7th ed
-CSM cease to exist and get replaced with new/old xenos race
-Space elves join forces and become grey-elves
-nids evolve too much and cease to be hungry
-necrons enslave Tau
-orcs get codices for each clan

The whole entire game gets cancelled, every 40k player can hear Jervis' maniacal laugh in their heads.

Emperor reborn, along with the old ones returning.
Necrons get even harder to kill, I will still hate orks, and my Imp Guard army will continue to grow.

Price of game goes even higher, and I wonder why I still play.

I predict we'll be complaining about the lack of cover saves and the fact that CC armies cannot do anything about the shooty lists.

The Dark Eldar never get realised and are fed to the warp.

They should also do a Codex for all those other xenos like the Hrud and stuff.

I think you missed that the space marines will get a new codex

I knew I forgot something.

Oh yeah, and my armies are still unpainted.

Space Marines will release the new Practical Squad (making the tactical squad obsolete)

Orks will get even tougher in CC but only have the Snake Bite clan and no Shootas.

IG will get a (sort of) CC squad. It is called the Practically Squad.

Eldar will get a new Commando squad called the Practicality Squad.

The three new races will be...

The Harlequin (replacing the Dark Eldar).

The Dweldar (aka Squats) returning in all their tricyc-ular glory.

Chaos Tau (still sucky at CC)

All figures will be single piece molded styrene (with attached base) and almost impossible to convert. (7th Edition will be like the D&D painted figures).

IG Commisars gain the ability to instantly kill an entire squad causing all IG to gain special abilities (similar to Thraka's WAAAGH!!! ability).

The Bits trade will be condemned by GW and any sellers and buyers will be legally prosecuted.

This continues on in a never ending chain reaction until...

In 37,991 years we will be living the game.

All first founding chapters get their own codex
They publish a new smurf codex, making all the previous obsolite or competitively speaking worthless
All other races are put in "Codex: Not marines"

Massive rule changes occur - but not so massive they cant be summarized in 3 lines. Such as run is added/removed. Scatter is added/ removed. Shoot the closest is added/removed. etc

A miniature box set will cost as much as a car, you fools will eat nothing but rice and heat your house with foster kids to save up the money you need for models. Except for those of you who will scratch build everything.

Each ork will be the size of a dreadnought, and still look like a 3 year olds crayon picture.

Tyranids will look like dino riders.

Marines will get a -1 and up save. With a re-roll

So Space Marines ARE getting a new Codex.

All SM Tac squads become 10 pt terminators
GW gets rid of dark eldar by saying they all were sucked into the warp
Jervis will write ALL codexs
Tau become WS 1 BS 9
We get to hear about the battle of Macragge all......over.......again.......

and finally

The emperor turns out to be Chuck Norris taking a nap who wakes up and then proceeds to kick the collective butts of every race in 40k before going into the warp and becoming the only chaos god. (because the other gods were killed by him.)

GW will buy a dice company.

All models will be half the points cost they are now while the 'regular' game will move to 2,000 points.

All models will get twice the number of attacks they have now. All guns will get twice the shots they have now.

Dark Eldar will still be a playable army. However, one needs to buy the models and 3rd edition Codex from GW Direct.

All fiction will be from the point of view of a space marine Captain or Chapter Master. More than half of them will be in a fleet based chapter to avoid the "Deep Space 9" syndrome.

GW will create a new marine heresy - Ultramarines and the successors vs all non-Codex chapters.

Model/unit stats will go away in favor of simple dice rolls. To wit, Space Marines hits everybody in HTH on a 3+, everybody else hits on a 4+. Space Marines save on a 3+, everybody else on a 5+. Space Marines shoots everybody on a 3+, everybody else shoots at 4+.
