I'm cheap, what can I make some storm shields out of? Preferably something cheap or free!

Umm...buy a 5" by 5" sheet of 2 or 3mm thick modeling plastic, a lead pencil to some marking, a tube of cyanoacrylate glue, and an exacto knife?

Plasticard?

dunno if you got any tomb king shield lying around, but i reckon they look koolz as storm shields.

I suggest plasticard as well, just cut it and heat it up and then bend to the desired shape. Thats what my friend is doing for his (the conversion pack is quite expensive).

Now I'm going to sound stupid, but where can I get plasticcard?

You can also use gift cards from stores like walmart.

Something that I always liked to use were old film canisters (you know, back before digital). They had a nice rounded shape that cut really well into 3 shields. Here's an example of the kind of shield that they'd make (this wasn't made using one, but it's what it would come out like):



You might be able to hit up a camera store or something, or maybe find a local photog that's got them lying about.
