Revised list from a while back using a single force organization chart. It's not apocalypse but it's what we'll be starting with to make our way into apocalypse most likely. Please lemme know what you all think..

Abaddon 275
Sorc - Terminator, MoS, LoS, Familiar, GoC, Icon 185

6 Terminators - IoT, 4xCombi-Plasma 235
6 Terminators - IoT, 4xCombi-Plasma 235

10 Plague Marines - 2xMelta, Icon, AC, PF, Rhino 330
10 Plague Marines - 2xMelta, Icon, AC, PF, Rhino 330
10 Berzerkers - AC, PW 240
10 Berzerkers - AC, PW 240

LR - DP 240 (Dedicated)
LR - DP 240 (Dedicated)
3 Obliterators 225
3 Obliterators 225

3000 on the dot. Will be fighting against my buddies 3000 space marine army ;P His is 100% mechanized, everything is in a tank, including a crusader and standard land raider, 8 assault TH/SS termies, Marneus and a 7 or 8 man relic blade honor guard, about 10 las cannons, 40 troops, and possibly a librarian with null zone, and vindicator.

My tactics - LRs carry berzerkers, rhinos with plaguies follow behind. Abaddon and sorc each get a squad of termies, and obliterators possibly deepstrike (yeah you heard me..). GoC is specifically for his termies and marneus, I just hope using lash isn't a waste if they're all in tanks lol. I may infact give him MoT and GoC alone so he can cast it twice and get the extra protection..

I would love to give all my termies combi-plasma but I'm afraid it's gonna have to be combi-melta, not sure whether I wanna give them each a fist or not, although Abaddon sure as hell can handle the CC by himself.

What do you guys think? Positive criticism welcome.

I'd say lose 1 or 2 oblits, deep strike the rest and cause havoc from the rear before eventually dying. with the points saved, mech your army to hell and back so your opponent cant take advantage of your slower units, especially the zerkers. they need to survive long enough to assault his shooty units, wich they wont be able to do if they're footslogging.
Otherwise, seems pretty good.

BTW whats the transport capacity with chaos LRs? if its 12 like the loyalist ones, you wont be able to carry your termies and characters in them

I know. I'm evil.
I saw weird stuff in that place last night. Weird, strange, sick, twisted, eerie, godless, evil stuff. And I want in.

If I were you, I would give the berzerkers and the plague marines Personal Icons and then deepstrike both terminator squads. This will allow you to get in close and use your combi-meltas and then assault later.

Forgive me if I was unclear, but yes both terminator squads will be deepstriking along with Abaddon, the sorc, and possibly the obliterators.

The LRs are both for each berzerker squad. They are simply dedicated to the termies so that don't take up an option in the force organization chart, otherwise not enough room for obliterators.. Everything on the table will be in armor, that isn't deepstriking - is the general idea. They simply wouldn't be able to start IN the tank on deployment, but embark first turn.

The personal icons on both Abaddon and the sorc are reassurance that they, the termies, and oblitskies start close to eachother (depending on who drops first though unfortunately). I may consider giving 1 or 2 squads a personal icon to ensure this doesn't go wrong. Thanks for the advice on that.

I may still consider giving the terminators all combi-plasma yet though, as I think (I hope) I'd have enough AT to take out a vehicle or two then lay waste to it's contents with plasma (down to the power fist especially). But I guess 10 melta shots can do the same if I'm lucky.. as well as act as extra AT support. What do you think? Plas or melt?

Plas or melt?

In a good Chaos army, on anything other than Plaguers, it's kinda the same thing. Depends on if you always want to assault or not. For combi-termi sake, I prefer melta as it's a little more versatile.

Combi meltas are really only worth it if you are light on anti tank elswhere. Lists with oblits usually don't need combi meltas. A DSing pair of MM or twin linked MG is more versitale than wasting a squad of terms on it, who have to be within 6" to be effective.

When DSing in, 2 shots from each combi plas at S7 AP2 is much better. It obliterates squads of elites who are coutning on their armor to protect them. Like sternguard. Send a rhino with someone with an icon inside their way, DS the terms withign 12" watch 5-8 dissapear. Lash them out of cover first if they are hiding like little girls.

It is even worth it in smaller games to do 3 terms with combi plas. Being able to destroy 4-5 MEQ's reliably in the backfield is pretty nice. Oh, 5 man dev sqaud, or a thunderfire cannon causing you problems? 105 points of terms (or 110 if you play it safe and give one a pf) can fix that problem right up.) Does wonders to necron destroyers and non Storm shield terms as well.

'Waves hand' This isn't the user you are looking for.

115 a fist for termis is 10 points

A firm believer in yin and yang.

Pretty solid list there. I would put icons on the plague marines and drop the oblits with them. Drop them behind the rhino but with a line of site to drop their plates.

Thanks for the wise input folks, I made changes to the list and gave each plague squad an icon courtesy of 2 combis off the termies unfortunately ;P Although I did indeed make it combi-plasma for sure.

I still haven't decided whether or not I wanna keep lash considering my opponent's completely armoured (wish you could lash tank drivers!) - mark of tzeentch and being able to cast GoC twice may serve me better. If I do that it'll save me the 10 points for more combi-plasma, OR 1 pfist per term squad and 3 combi-plasma.

But now I'm just being indecisive lol.
