I have no pictures yet, because I haven’t done it yet, but I’m getting around to doing the bases of my Overlords, and having looked at the pictures from Chamon they’re going to be...red. Like the surface of mars. With grey rocks and blue crystals.

This will work right?

Might as well chime in here.

I have three Ungor Raiders left to assemble before I'm done that stage of my SC Box. Really wanted to enter my Ghorgon in the painting challenge but I am saving him for last. Shame, he is kinda scary looking.

Thanks! The glowy look on the eyes was achieved after I did the wash on her face to get that skin tone and highlights. I painted the eyes, and a bit around the socket white. Then after that, just with water on the brush, applied Soulstone Blue technical paint on and around the eyes, then just carefully wipe some of it off the eye/let it settle around it. Hope I explained it well.

Since I kind of hate AoS in practice, but love it in theory, I have begun a hobbying project that is more narrative focused. I am hoping to get mostly casual/fun games in my store, or maybe even play through a narrative campaign with a couple of people. I have a much more in-depth background post in the P+M Blog section, but I just wanted to post my first test model here for a bit of feedback. The concept is basically Free Peoples of Shyish...human soldiers of fortune who have survived extreme hardships trying to carve out an existence in the Realm of Death. I hope to incorporate kitbashing from some Nighthaunt kits I really like to give them a spooky mercenary feel.

Thank you for that. I will try it out.

While I don't care for guns in a Fantasy setting, I am thinking that Age of Sigmar should go the way Warmahordes, so I think this is perfect. I love it. If and when I am going have to steel your idea. Love to see more. Also good job on the paint job as well.

Hey all,

I was super stoked to qualify and play in the AoS GT final this weekend gone.

Was even happier when I received a Best Army nomination after falling short in heat 3.

Had awesome games across the weekend, and even though it was the final every opponent was impeccable and made for an even better experience!

Ended up ranked 26th, missing out on rank 10 due to an awesome, slog-fest of a match vs Ian's Bonesplittaz in game 6!

Can't wait for the next heats, and the doubles in a few weeks time.

I've been painting up proxies for models I want. Since I desire a bit of an elf/human theme for my slaanesh, here is what I've done as of late .

Chaos Sorcerer (Mistweaver Saih)

Daemonette Alluress, Hellstrider, and Keeper of Secrets (Made from Flying Hive tyrant, Carnifex Scything Talons, and Daemon Prince)

Chaos Chosen Chapion (Sister of silence with Wildwood Ranger Champion Axe)

Sorry if the pictures are too large. I took them with my phone for discord and had to figure out a way to post them.

Nearly 3k+ points of Slaanesh (AoS)
2500 points of Ironjawz
Too many points of Space Marines.

I re uploaded my OLD conversion of the old black coach(with a little bit worse light but more angles), so the images that was in this thred before, no longer exists.
but since this is a re upload i will naturaly hide it in a spoiler tag and i`ll just post 1 img. no need to steal the light from the rest of you solid painters as, i havent done anything AoS related in about 9 months.

That's a nice coach conversion, honestly my favorite from what I've seen over the years. You prettied it up but it still looks like the old coach. And you can still use it since the old coach still has it's warscroll, so even better.

thanks.
my goal was simply to make an outdated and old kit, modern in the looks.=)

i bought the malligant start collecting box about 3 years ago and since i back then was NH subfaction, i could never use the mortis engine.
so it had been collecting dust for 2 years until i one day had an idea on how to modernise the black coach.

the leftovers from the mortis engine im using for a mortis conversion but i dont have a clear idea for that yet other then getting a more "engine" look to it.
i have the "engine" part covered and buildt, but im mainly struggeling to get it all to look ghostly, flying and somewhat realistic.

I started a Deepkin army. By started, I only picked up a Leviadon, Warden and a box of Thralls and the Battletome. Basically I just grabbed some stuff that looks neat and have a ways to go from there.

Started work on the Warden last night and he's mostly done. Still needs basing (thinking sand because I like the idea more than generic regular land basing since they bring the Aethersea with them and it makes it look like the sea itself and all) and the familar needs a couple details picked out, but I'm pretty happy with him.

Oh, and I still need to do his bracelets. I'm thinking a jade color as I don't want to have any metal in the army at all. I'm going for that "we grew it out of coral" look.

So I guess I should post an update to my last post: Sadly the more I've looked into the Deepkin the more frustrated I've gotten. I rather enjoy the Namarti as an idea and the models are splendid but the army has a big sticking point that prevents you from running a good Namarti heavy list: all the auras have the "wholly within" clause meaning that the large blocks of Namarti you want to be running to minimize unit problems from casualties and to maximize their buffs don't work well.

Basically I'm just salty (puns intended) that GW dropped the ball and left us running eels for 90% of the army if we want to be any good.

So I took a step back and looked at the horde army I was considering before and had waved off: Legion of Nagash. I'm popping by my FLGS tonight (or tomorrow depending how exhausted I am after work) to pick up a start collecting box so I can build Neferata and a bunch of skeletons to start my army off right. The Legion of Nagash just works so much more towards what I want in an army, plus I can blare every remix of "Spooky Scary Skeletons" there is to annoy my opponents.

Plus legion of nagash is heavily represented on top tables and is probably the most competitive / optimized list in the game at the moment.

I don't know how competetive my list is since it looks like this:
Heroes
Neferata 400 (General, Overwhelming Dread)
Vampire Lord on Nightmare 140 (Orb of Enchantment, Amaranthine Orb)
Vampire Lord on Nightmare 140 (Soul Pike)
Coven Throne 260 (Vile Transference)

Battleline
Dire Wolves (5) 60
Dire Wolves (5) 60
Dire Wolves (5) 60

Behemoth
Mortis Engine 180

Other
Blood Knights (5) 240 (Full Command)
Blood Knights (5) 240 (Full Command)
Morghast Harbingers (2) 220 (Spirit Halberd)
Total: 2000/2000

Total Wounds: 117

I'm also looking at running Neferata leading a Deathrattle force (because comboing her and a Wight King to buff Black Knights amuses me) but I've got some way to go before I really get either lists fully ready to play.

I had some extra parts from the starting skeletons box so I made a Wight King to go on horseback. Any suggestions for a good choice of mount?

I've basically finished Neferata (sans any possible adding of extra basing stuff in the future):

The lighting washed out the blues in the skulls so here they are from a WIP shot that gives a better look at them:

And I've started on some skeletons. I'm mixing in the Nightvault ones to give my units some easy to spot champions (Warden for spear units, Prince for sword units):

So I've been a busy little beaver when I'm not spending all my time online or at work.

Or playing Luigi's Mansion because you gotta support those Nighthaunt guys who found jobs, right?

Dam that is one nice looking Leviadon! I really gotta hand it to you for the base though, that is really what puts it up there in quality.

That Neffy is looking good too, but I see what you mean about the lighting. I get the sense it looks a lot better in person.

Thanks! I'm ordering a light box tomorrow which may help, but my current set up has largely been dependent on using overhead lights paired with natural light to prevent things from being too washed out but it's been so overcast lately that conditions haven't been good. Hopefully a lightbox will help me fix that problem going forward.

Assembled most of my Start Collecting Lizardmen on the weekend. Just finishing my Saurus Warriors. Pretty happy with everything, the Carnosaur is freaking awesome. I am excited to maybe get a game in.

I used Lustria Online's suggestions to get the most out of the Start Collecting box, and made myself an Astrolith Bearer.

I think it looks pretty good, and is close enough to the actual model to save me 20 quid. I didn't need the extra two Saurus anyhow, because the game only lets me take them in groups of 10.
