I had the pleasure of playing a round of KOW against this big boy, and while the feathers do look a little in-congruent in person, given the lack of other plumage styles it's not as jarring as I thought from the renders, especially when painted to stand out, as here. I actually commented on the feathers to the army's owner, and he genuinely hadn't thought of them as being wildly unacceptable.

I like the feathers on it personally.

The owner of that army seems to have a wonderfully diverse sense of taste. I spy a lot of Shieldwolf models there!

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

AFAIK it's entirely Shieldwolf apart from the Mierce big'uns (and GeeDub drums). Brilliant orcy feel and possibly my favorite fantasy orc army ever. Here's an army shot:

I think that's the first time I've seen the Mierce Ork Giant all painted up. Looks great!

Darklands Concept Art Book

COMING SOON - pre-order the amazing limited edition concept art book now, before it sells out; there's only 140 left and it'll be with you in December!

Some years ago we announced that we'd produce a Darklands ConceptArt Book for you Miercenaries, as we have so much art we almost don't know what to do with it: and, of course, because we want to showcase some of the most amazing artwork in the industry. Well, it's going to be yours in December - as long as you pre-order it now, because it's strictly limited to 250 copies only, and almost a hundred were purchased by our kickstarter backers of old!

Looking forward to this guy. Looks like he'll be a fun one to paint up.

He may or may not end up looking like my Dark Mariners from Deep Wars and Shadowsea.

I'd forgotten I ordered him!

Looks to be a cool sculpt. But the shell-shield just looks ridicilous, imo. Other than that, cool stuff indeed.

I completely understand your frustrations, and seeing the above must be even worse.

Although likely this still won't be finished being sculpted for a while yet. And I know you said you've asked for outstanding orders to be turned into cashback.

The kraken symbol on the shield really should be rotated 90 degrees, but otherwise looks great.

He truly is one of the all-time greats. It was when they moved away from sculptors of this quality, and the finished minis looked less and less impressive compared to the concepts (plus my backlog was building beyond acceptable levels - this was back around KS6 or KS8 or something, I forget) that I started shying away. Looking at this sculpt reminds me why I loved Mierce so much in the early days. I might even take a risk and buy some of those original Brutes that I still never bought next time they have a half-off / 2for1 sale.

Yeah, great to see ti finally, and as it;'s not a 3D render, it might actually get molded and shipped soonish.
I see the kraken symbol is 90 degrees out of whack, BUT can probably manage to live with it.

I took advantage of the 30% off Black Friday sales to spend my refunded money.

I just wanted to let people know my experience with the new Holumann minis that just came out. Up until now I have loved all of the beasties but have been pretty sad about the human infantry, whether it is too small, or just something not quite right with it. Well the new Holumann are awesome models!! Some of the best vikings I have ever seen, really neat models. The size, poses, the way it fits together, very little clean up, better resin now. All around I can suggest these minis. Figured I would let people know if they were worried about getting human infantry any more from Mierce like I was. I hope their 3d sculpter does a lot more humans!

or the undead. Ugg. They're a real pain to put together. Honestly, most of the stuff I've gotten form Mierce has been a huge paint to put together -- like no one there has ever assembled a mini before and just assume superglue can hold any sized connection for any reason.

Weird, I've mostly built Fomoraic, but I can't honestly say anything has been egregiously bad. The worst have been no more awkward than a FW kit, the best have basically held themselves together with dry fit joints.

I've been quite tempted by the new Norsemen. They do look pretty nice.
Any chance you can show us how big they are compared to other models?

I see the new Savrakarch are showing up in the store. Hopefully that means the preorder ones will be shipping out soon!

Aquarius- So do I, but I am forgetting they exist, or going to use them with a different scale game haha. The new ones are worth it.
Azreal- the Fomoriac were the only humans that I didn't mind, along with a few Ys. The other stuff was too small/fine
Highlord- I don't know how to post a picture on here but otherwise I would be happy to.

I really want that, but I don’t collect any of the Welsh...well...anymore. Also, the mugs I ordered a couple weeks ago for gifts arrived. If you don’t have one, and need a MASSIVE coffee cup...or a huge tea cup, these are great.

Not to diminish the impressiveness that the original version has, but man, that dragon is quite impressive. Out of my price range, but I do like that it works both as a major art piece and is still totally workable as an actual gaming unit.

The dragon is ridiculously oversized.

And not part of any Kickstsrter?

Many of which have many miniatures long overdue, that many have already paid for?
