Fantastic terrain!!!!!!!

Any chance of commision work?

Excellent - love it - especially the light effects from the lava and green gloop pool.

Very impressive. I've recently thrown out a lot of my old beat-up terrain, and now I'm inspired to create some more.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone! I appreciate it.

I'm going to be updating this thread with more photos of new pieces as I get them finished.

I may consider writing some tutorials in the future, but work is keeping me pretty busy building terrain & painting models, so who knows when I'll find the time.... But it's definitely something I've always wanted to do.

The best thing about your work is that all the pieces are painted to such a high standard and finsihed really well.

Good job.

Any tips on how to achieve the wood paneling for the floors and walls and such? I've never done terrain before, just painting minis, but I think some terrain would really improve on the games I have. As for now, I tend to use shoes and boxes and anything random found around when a game is played, and I think a neat little ruined building would help a LOT.

@Clay----- Yes, that was our old username. We're "Game-fusion" now, to bring our user ID in line with our company identity. But yeah, that's me.

@CENart---- The wood paneling is constructed from individual pieces of wood, cut and shaped to fit, then just glued into place. Pretty much the same thing for the wooden structures. It requires a little more care than your average Joe Gamer wants to put into their terrain, but I think the end-result is really worth it.

@s.j. mccartney--- Thanks! That's what I'm going for. You know, a lot of people make terrain, but it's that little bit of extra effort right at the end that makes the difference, in my opinion.

I guess the short answer would be; just treat it like a big model, with less concern for the fine details. The same basic techniques apply, just scale everything up. Bigger brushes, same tricks.

I would love to play some games on your table, those are really awesome pieces of work - I especially like the lava mountains. My favorite would have to be the three stoned altar with fire in the centre!
Maybe blend the hills in some pieces so you don't have rigid walled cliffs going on?
Regardless, very sharp!

Nuclear: Properly pronounced new-clear, not new-cue-lir. There is no 'u' between the c and l, so stop saying it because it just makes you sound like a dumbass. This includes nucleolus, and all other derivatives of the word.

These are great without exception!

I especially like the lava pit with the nice OSL, the bubbling acid pit, and the bridge (very simple, but very neatly executed).

I'd be interested in seeing some tutorials also.
