So I have a basic idea for the fluff.

Acacia was a Canoness of the order of the ebon Chalice. She was killed in an epic battle her body was created and her DNA used to creat 2 Canoness Daughters. Her two daughters created the Order of Our Blessed Martyr in her name.

That's the basic outline, help me make it more epic, because i suck at this.

A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!

I'd change the name, Our Blessed Martyr just sounds too generic. Try something like the Order of Acacia's Sacred Blood or something.

hmm.... thinking of an Arch rival usually helps. When I played chaos, I made up fluff that my Lord was the twin brother of my brothers SM chapters commander. It was more involved but that helps. Thinking up something they LOVE killing. Also thinking up just a few small cool tidbits works nicely too. Live a named drednaught that adds to the fluff simply by saying "oh this guy was in this epicly huge battle our chapter was in" granted sob dont really have dreds but you get the idea

In your base, ignoring your logic.

I agree with changing the name(reminds me of a church), but if you like it, keep it. I would name the battle and create the planet the battle was fought on if you can't find one already that you want.

My army is lame in that respect I mean the "Cadian 154th Winterized Heavy"(may change) is lame, but incredibly easy to come up with fluff. Look in your codex and see how the other orders were set up.

Make a hero that was at that epic battle, name the battle and the planet it was on (example: Creed is famous for the battle of Tyrok Field on Cadia, Yarrick is famous for fighting orks on Armageddon, Davian Thule is famous for paying Relic to put him in Dawn of War), find a hated enemy, probably chaos.

You have a "primarch" for your order and a name. Perhaps include the two daughters as HQ choices in your army and name them.
Name the battle: The battle of that one place or something you like.
Choose an enemy: Chaos probably killed her at the battle and she was the leader of the last order, or an ork warboss cut off her head and wore it like a hat, or an IG basilisk shot incorrectly and vaporized her, an eldar killed them after they went to an exodite world, a DE killed them for...well...being there, the Tau were trying to colonize their world, etc. Anyway they have to win at the end or their home planet has to be destroyed.

Just make a story that sounds good to you.

you might want to make it sympathetic to her e.g outnumbered, allies turn evil ect

Daughters names: Canoness Abigail and Claudia, perhaps one serves the other as a squire? Acacia died in the Berthian Standoff, murdered by the Apostate
Preacher Seth, who was in turn slaughtered by his own son, Kane, who sought redemption. The daughters were created by mixing some of Kane's dna
with Acacia's dna, and upon reaching maturity, killed their father to redeem their mother. The Order of the Fallen Mother was then founded. Their colors
are grey, purple, and black.

These are just a few things you could use. I've obviously taken some liberties and changed the name and slightly altered the origin. I can come up with
a lot more if you want, just pm me anytime.

Hello Blessed be thy Emperor,

I was thinking today as I read your post, Canoness Acacia must've been really special for the Ecclesiarchy to clone her. Why did they clone her? Since Sisters aren't psionic, it must've been because of miracles, don't you think? What I mean is, if Acacia was simply a strong fighter or brilliant tactician, well there are many more like that aren't there? But what if there were specific miracles associated with Acacia? Perhaps she made a poisonous sea drinkable? Perhaps she seemed to have the gift of healing? Any sort of fluffy miracle you like.

So then...the Ecclesiarchy, which is big on Holy Relics gets this idea this time; instead of a scrap of hem from her robe or one of her teeth, to use as Holy Relics, why not clone her entirely?

I'm thinking that you could write a huge epic story about the life of Acacia, and then have her two clone/daughters retrace her steps and renew the miracles (again, like making a poison sea drinkable) on regular pilgrimages where they retrace the life of their ancestor? Maybe there was a battle where Acacia lost her weapons and killed an Ork nob with her bare hands, and so occasionally the daughters will fight bare handed for a round of combat in honor of this.

You could really go to town with house rules Does your group allow them? Why not name your Order 'The Blessed Daughters of St. Acacia'? Well, anyway, that was my idea today, I hope it inspires a little bit.
