I won a new steggadon in a tournament I played in this weekend. That brings my total up to three. I have two new ones, and an old one I use as a regular steggadon with a chief on it. My other two are ancient staggadons with the Engine of the Gods on them. What kind of lists would you run to use all three steggadons? Skink Heavy or use saurus? would a slann be in there or an Old Blood? I need advise please.

Three steggies are expensive (especially if 2 of them are ancients with priests and engines), so you won't necessary have too much points to spend on the more elite stuff such as large saurus units etc.. I suppose a good magic heavy list would include slann bsb, the steggies, a couple of small saurus units the slann can hide in and some throw-away skink units.

I fit three into a 3000 point army using two EotG and Lord Mazdamundi. That list is very Saurus heavy with thirty-six Temple Guard and two units of twenty-four Saurus (and four units of Skinks).

I have been pondering over an all Skink army. Using That many Stegadons will be expensive. It would be hard to keep it under 2000 points. If you go all/heavy Skinks, you may want to consider putting Tehenhuain in an EotG. Then have the second EotG and a BSB in the third.

All Skink armies are cool, but new Saurus are pretty good. A Slann with two EotGs would be awesome, and expensive. If you could buy enough to protect them you might have a cool army. I like it.

You can fit four stegos in a 1500 point list, but it doesn't leave much room for anything but some min sized skinks to act as bait.

Good Stego combos are:

Chiefs on normal stegos to get BS5 great bows,

Slann and 2 EoG in 2000 pts. Enough room for a TG unit too.

take 3 units of skirmishing skinks (as small/cheap as possible) and then take 4 (thats right 4 ) normal stegadons and 2 skink priests on ancients
