Depends on which Captain America look you're after.

If you're going for the newest Captain America look, I'd start with either a Vindicare/Culexus assassin or just a vanilla eldar guardian. These all have the spandex/leather bodysuit look to them that would give you a solid base to start with. You'd really only have to get "swashbuckler"-like legs/boots (calf-high leather with a large cuff at the top) to make them work.

If you're going for the WW2 Cap, imperial stormtroopers strike me as having the right flavor to start with.

For the "chainmail/scalemail" look you'll probably have to scour fantasy models for a torso and boots or do a master-class paint job on the sucker to get the right look to it. There were some artists that did Cap during that era with more of a spandex look to him in which case you could pretty much do the same as you would for the modern Cap.

What scale do you want him?

I think it would be very easy to take the deciever model, file down the flowy ribbons and give him a shield and a couple other easily sculpted peices, slap him on a termie base and make him your Space Marine Captian. ;-)

Had to take a look at the model (I don't usually think of necrons as anything other than skeletal robots), but I've gotta say this would definitely be the way to go (he's even posed perfectly to be holding or even throwing the shield). Good call Hordicant!

Yeah, they have Captain Britain(oops, HAD, he's dead thanks to the Skrulls), and in Ultimates, Captain Britain, Captain France, Captain Italy, and Captain Spain(there's one for every nation in the EU, actually).

Captain America is one of the biggest superheroes ever. He and Iron Man are (or were? - Marvel Civil War) the most popular members of the Avengers. His title has been going on for 65-70 years. Not only that. Most Marvel superheroes are Americans, or at least live there. Yet still they're mainstream superheroes worldwide anyway (Spider-Man, for example).

** Cranking up the sarcasm sauce, blatantly so **

It's not our fault you're to concerned about your pounds, your fish and chips and the sunset on your empire not to know about the oldest of the Marvel comic book heroes. There's more to America than B-list celebrities, superpowerhood and plucking your fat out of the Jerry fryer in two world wars.

Besides, did an Englishman ever uppercut Adolf Hitler?

** Reiterating the sarcasm at conclusion of post **

Back on topic:

Picking up some of the old inquisitorial storm trooper might help. A shield out of the fantasy line, if you can find a circular one, might also be another good place to go. Bucky also totes a pistol now.

Actually, the human torch is the oldest...not johny storm though, the orignal human torch.

How DARE you forget the greatest captain of them all!

Captain Planet

The Ted Turner version (see Robot Chicken) was the best version of him too!

And as for the Guardian (aka Captain Canada)

per wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guardian_(Marvel_Comics)#Death

Alpha Flight (Sasquatch, Major Mapleleaf II, Puck Jr., and the time-displaced versions of Guardian, Vindicator, Shaman, and Puck) are brutally attacked by The Collective.Their bodies are left in the Yukon Territory as the Collective continues on to the United States. The time-displaced Guardian was later confirmed dead by Sasquatch, while the original Guardian is presumably still on the Plodex homeworld with the other members of Alpha Flight.

The Guardian suit is now worn by Michael Pointer. So i guess he is Captain Plodex now?!?!?

A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his/her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.
