Tough-as-Nails Ork Boy




ince deciding to go with WoC for fantasy I figured that going chaos for 40K could be interesting as well. Now I hate dual lash and refuse to use it. I know that makes making a competitive list harder with what I have left to work with. I am trying for a balanced but tough list that has good firepower but few big targets. It has mobility, firepower, numbers, and is quite fighty in CC. Altogether I think it will work. Please comment. As usual any C&C is really appreciated.

Lose the vindi and havocs as they are, throw powerfists everywhere you can. Either replace the Havocs with more Oblitz or run them with 4x flamers and possibly a champ and MoS. They'll wipe up anytihng in CC.

CTM pretty much said it all. Although the lesser demons are really just easy kills to help your opponent win combat.

Also, other than the terms you are shy on anythign that can do well in close combat. Fists in your csm sqauds would help with that, but I find that having a dedicated assault unit is also necessary. At least one unit of zerkers or noise marines is needed to do the damage. Noise marines are a little more flexible (as you can opt to shoot them when they are out of charge range, or against light but numerous foes) but zerkers do more damage in the actual combat phase.

Also, the dinky raptor anti tank squad does not need a champion. LD 9 by themselves is fine and the chamion really won't add anything to a fight(1 whole attack), not worth the points. In a larger unit it would work, but he would need a fist or a pw(I prefer fist).

You must construct additional py- wait, wrong game.

You need more troops, drop the Havocs and get another Melta squad with a fist. Also, see if you can squeeze in more icons. The key to using Lesser Daemons is making them mobile without ever touching the board. They should be able to jump in and save a combat anywhere on the board.

Listen to Mephistoles and Cannerus, but I'd keep the Vindi, and drop a Lightning Claw from the Termies to throw around Powerfists, just to be specific.
