Thanks, though it was not a very well casted piece. I think I managed to get it at least tabletop ( or Adepticon floor ) ready. I still need to add the Flames ( tried for a very Tim Burton - NBC reference) on the Carapace, but I need a break from it and it is done temporarily for now.

Luckily I think they live at your house.

Wowzers that is some gorgeous yellow on that big fella. I am hoping Adepticon goes off without a hitch, it is close enough to me that I could drive in for the day. Plus seeing that knight fight again would be cool.

You should come for the event and play. Play some pickup games and Knight Fight. Everyone needs to have a vacation and get back to playing.

Quick update. Got some more pieces for my Necron board. Some taller Obelisk's. And a shot with a warrior next to the lot. A lot of painting to be done. My main set pieces should arrive by the end of the week. Looking at the pic the lettering looks very unclean. but I assure you it is not, it's heavily gloss coated glare

So my first wave of Necron terrain arrived. Started playing with the overall look. Here is a small ground piece I used for a test.

Thanks, It's a bit bigger than the standard 2000 pt board, but for 3000.... yep all good.

I'm hoping to get this painted up in the next couple of weeks. then on to finishing my remaining Necrons for my list. I'm reserving Nov for the new Knight fight board.

Awesome .. here's to hoping to see you all next March. if you are going and intrerested in a game of 40K let me know

Additional progress on the Necron board. I purchased some very cool Necron files and Ramos has graciously offered to print them for me. So some of the smaller flat pieces will be replaced by these new prints. I think these will give the table a more Tomb world feel.

That is a an awesome Necron terrain set. You have inspired me to stop browsing and get to work on my Ork terrain.

About half way done with the original set of terrain. I have 6 additional pieces coming from Ramos that I will replace some of the flatter pieces.

Once that is done I will finish Painting my Lists.
Necrons first, SM and then finish the Nids.

Then on to the Knight Fight Table. My new Mats will not be available till mid to late October.

New Ramos printed Terrain should be here some time late next week. Exciting times. Been Painting Rocks.. Yep rocks.. I'll paint them the same color as the Terrain and vicariously add them to the edges of the terrain pieces to give the table a nice transition to the new mat.

I plan to very the gloss levels and will lightly brush sections with my Necron green paint to tie it all together.

Very cool stuff. I almost have one of the Energy Cores ( from the DOW game ) completed (the cylinder piece). I have 4 more items on the way. 2 Mausoleums' and a pair of Gauss turrets ( DOW game as well ). Just got to find time to paint.

I still have my beloved Lamenters, but not much to add to them. As a lost chapter I'm going to keep them first born so no cool Primaris upgrades for them. In addition they never recovered from the penitent crusade imposed on them for their involvement in the Badab war thus what I have is about right for the number remaining. So I will play them as is and keep it for narrative gaming. I still have a ton of first born boxes that I'll keep ... or give away .. Paint as a different chapter in the future ... or leave them in my will ( along with 4 Titans) ... who knows.

Yeah Crons are what I play most competitively ( or what I think is competitive - Git would tell you that my lists are not that competitive ), and quantity wise I have a lot of Necrons. Thus I thought I should have a board that matches my army. The board you are seeing is a 60in x 60in table. This is because some of my friends like playing bigger than 2000 pt games - so we play 3000 pts thus allowing a more variety of different units than the latest tourney winning combination over and over. We also like to ignore the GW 'This is what terrain you need to use and where to place it.' Thus this board will add character to our games when fielding my Necrons.

There is about 6 more pieces of Terrain that Ramos is working on Printing for me so I can swap out depending on the size game I want. I have about 4-8 peices in my que to paint and a pile of rocks to paint as debris for the table. Then pack away for future use and most importantly Adepticon.

More pics to come.

 Gitsplitta wrote:

I look forward to playing you on it. Adepticon or Sooner.

AHhhhh Adepticon... what plans Have I..

We'll I'll be hosting 3 Knight Fight events. A 6x8 foot cityscape where 2 teams of Imperial Knights fight it out for Honor, Glory and especially adding to their Kill totals. This Year I'm hoping to have an all new city Terrain for the game that reflects a more Imperial Gothic city. At this time this project has not been started but materials all have been purchased.

I'll be bringing three 3000 pt armies for games with my friends and fellow Warders. Formost my Necrons, My Tyranids and my new SM Primaris Army chapter, The Sentinels. Obviously new terrain for the first two armies. Still need to build and paint a few figures for the Necrons and my Nid list. The SM army is new and all most nothing has been built and painted for them though all the units have been purchased.

Going to be a Hobby intensive winter.
