For a force hood you can use the Bolter and Chainsword Commander Y-model force hood. It's a carved down SM shoulderpad. Much easier than dealing with plasticard. If you do a search on B&C (or even Google it) you should be able to find it.

*Edit: Here's a pic of one to give an example:

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

Chapter Master of the Renegade Chapter of Soul Drinkers who have chosen to rebel against the Imperium, but are still very loyal to the Emperor. Many of the chapter suffer from mutations and Sarperdon's is the worst. His affliction is a set of Arachnid-type legs which replaced his own. He's also a very powerful psyker, a sender but not a receiver, which makes his power, "The Hell"; a power similar to the old "Fear Of Darkness" power; much more powerful. That's who he is.

If your looking for a good spider leg base.
Might i suggest the Drider from the D&D pre-painted minis.

The only issue I have witht he concept of using any normal spider type model is Sarpedion does not have a huge ass. His legs split into eight total, but he never grew a fat arse thorax. So if you used a spider/dryder model you'ld have to cut the thorax off and that would leave a big flat spot up front or back, however you positioned it.

Yeah that would work. Use the hormagaunt or the genestealer ones. I am building a scratch-built lictor that resembles a scorpion and using the small talons for its legs

hole in the ground

I made one about two years ago using the Daemon prince scale. I used the body of the WFB zombie dragon, with TMC scything talons as legs, and then grafted the torso from the daemon prince model on top.....lots of greenstuff later (cleaning it up) and it turned out really nice....in prince scale....going smaller you could use the warrior talons....but the gaunt ones are too small. Oh, and the mechanical leg from a sentinel.....

Problem is Sarpedion is not DP sized.

Second, for a normal sized model, which is what he's supposed to be, the genestealer or gaunt (I prefer gaunt because of a thinner and piontier end) are the best size. As for the cybernetic one, no ideas.

For a cybernetic leg i would suggest using a old battletech mech leg. I know those are a bit rare. or use one of the new plastic ones from Wizkids, you would have to cut it and greenstuf it. but that would work i guess

Gaunts and warriors use the same size arms. Other than that, love to see a picture.

I know. I'm evil.
I saw weird stuff in that place last night. Weird, strange, sick, twisted, eerie, godless, evil stuff. And I want in.
