Already looking at the codex and thinking hmmm I wonder how adding Daemon hunters to my list will be. Considering the point reduction in squads as well as the ability to merge multiple squads into one unit.
Add in that they have fast transports that can carry twelve models do you think it would be broken to transport Greyknights inside Valkyries or Vendettas for H t H action.
Also, looking at the Greyknights psychic abilities some do require ld tests and add in the ability of Psychic Choirs you have a pretty powerful combo w/ dropping LD of units.
So do you think adding Greyknights to a new IG army will end up being a game breaker?

i've already played a DH+IG game with what are the rumoured rules and points values. It certainly added firepower to the list. I had an allied IG platoon with 3 lascannons, an HQ with a couple of sniper rifles as well, and 2 mortar squads. The mortar squads provided devastating incirect cover fire for the GKs. It was all very successful.

Eh, only thing I'd see IG definitely taking is an Inquisitor with ye old mystic to give one of their big nasty shooty units the fun of blasting up drop-podding marines.
Leman Russ Exterminator (The plasma template one) opening up on a deep striking sternguard comes to mind, or Lascannon heavy weapon squad on a podding Ironclad Dread.
Sure, the GK's are nice and tough, but just having a cheap-ass guy there to keep things from fiddling with your gunline has some pretty serious merit.

I would say that for a competitive list whose only concern is winning games, the DH Inq+Mystics is a must-have for the IG.
The combo is 32 points, and it creates a giant 14" bubble of 'don't deep strike here'. This hasn't really changed between codices/editions.
What has changed is the way vehicle formations synergize with the DH combo.
Picture an Inq/Mystics within 6" of a squadron of 2 LR with plas sponsons and a squadron of 3 Vendettas.
There is no army or unit in existence that wants to land near enough to eat either 6 templates from the LR or 9 TL Lascannon shots from the Vendettas.
This forces Daemons, certain crisis Tau builds, drop pod Sternguard/Ironclads, Zagstruck, and Vanguard (whatever) to play in a dramatically different way that handicaps their unit mechanics considerably.
All for 32 points in an obscure slot that IG won't be maxing out on anyhow.

I was thinking in terms of broken ,but I kind of wonder if you can transport greyknights with vendettas.
If a Vehicle has a scout move ; and has 24 inch movement.
I dont know though if you could assault the first turn if you didnt move at all with the Vendetta and just used the scout move.

The one you're thinking of is the Executioner. The Exterminator is the Autocannon one.

Throw in the adviser that gives opponents a -1 to reserve rolls and Demons are gonna be having a bad day..

I was thinking more in terms of having two squads of Vendettas w/ Greyknights inside and being able to take and hold mission objectives.
I am also kind of wondering how some of the greyknight psychic powers and the cullexus will be.

@Hollimason
The grey knights/vendetta angle is fun, but somewhat predictable and, unfortunately, not terribly exciting. IG want to shoot, and shoot a lot. CC/HTH doesn't allow shooting. Sure, it could be used as a last minute rush to take an objective, there are likely going to be plenty of much cheaper alternatives to GK's in the IG list.
Denying the tempo of reserve dependent strategies/armies, and putting deep striking into a position of being pounded before even having a shot off is far far more detrimental as it throws many people's existing plans into the shredder.
Suicide Sternguard? No.
Drop Pod Dreads? No.
Eldar Reserve Lists? Not as often/reliably.
Daemon lists? Coming out piecemeal.
Putting GK's into a transport and carting them around is, in comparison, rather boring.

er... Holding mission objectives is not going to be tough for IG. Finding enough points for armor, now....
The strength of the DH allies is the special one-shot selections that cost relatively few points. PAGK are so cost prohibitive that their role as an assault troops is overshadowed by the loss of mass firepower that any IG list would be forced to endure.
IG can survive without high tech assault troops, they can't survive without massed firepower.

IG + sisters could produce some interesting combos though ... cheap power armored girls with book of saint brokenness to guard your tanks or gunlines could be quite effective. Kitted out Jump cannonness is fairly cheap and can cause a significant amount of disruption as well.
