Huh, cool. I'm surprised GW is letting them get away with the nurgle logo though.

It's better to simply be an idiot, as no one can call you on it here. -H.B.M.C.

On the critter's back. Visible in the bottom-right image, and a couple others. They're not prominent or similarly sized, so I think it is just a coincidence.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.

Well, it looks enough like a coincidence that they can say that to GW legal guys.

As if the GW legal guys will call the guy up and go: "yeah...we've noticed your new mutant and well...it has three warts/tumours that look a bit like our Nurgle logo since well...three round things against each other is our IP and all. "

I doubt that will happen unless you would call the GW IP department and manage to convince them that it's an actual Nurgle logo...

hahahah. Come on, seriously? Nurgle... more like three sockets.

And GW legals guys!? Lets see Blizzard go loose on GW re: the last tyranid range compared to the Zerg.

Design is seriously hard to police, not that there's any infringement, accidental or planned here.

Looks more like some kind of demonic plugs of some weird technology rather than nurgle logo to me.

You are aware that the Tyranids predate the Zerg by about 8 years, right?

I can't say I like it, there's something quite strange going on with the neck and head. I realize it's supposed to be grossly malformed, but I've never cared much for that aesthetic.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

It's a mutant so weird abnormalities... are the norm.

The current plastic tyranids with big sycthes (warriors, hormagounts, etc) I was referring to. Their previous incarnations were very different, the redesign came afer starcraft was released.

Not that it matters really.

And if I recall correctly the bug from Starship Troopers had them even earlier. What does this mean? There are certain sci fi clichés we can't really avoid. Bug like aliens, power armoured space nazis and so on.

Looks nice. What's the scale? I could definitely see using one in some Dark Heresy games.

If I'm not mistaken the figure stands on a 40mm round base, I'll ask the people from Troll Forged or those who have ordered one already to place the model next to something with a more familiar size.

This is good, but not great. The polearm is great, but the face kills it for me. There wasa box set put out by White Wolf years ago (Trinity Battleground, or some such) that had better big guy mutants than this, except they were cast out of some lame plastic/resin.

Looking for the Empire spearmen from the Warhammer sixth edition box set (empire vs orcs) Must be unpainted and in good condition. Also looking for MIB Empire State Troops boxes.

Looking for Battle for Macragge and Black Reach Tactical squads, unpainted and unassembled.

He's a mutant with cyernetics, but the best he can do for a weapon is a primitive weapon that defies logic.

A huge rock, on a polearm, with spikes sticking out of it. Not only does a huge weight on the end of a stick sound clumsy to wield, but how is it attached to the pole ? What's holding those spike in ?

If the rock was hollowed out, you could attach it to the pole. The spikes might be glues into holes drilled into the rock. All in all, it would require a tremendous amount of labor to make a clumsy weapon that would likey fall apart the first time you strike it against a hard surface with sufficient force, as the rock with many holes in it crumbles under the stress.

On a positive note, the mutant himself is okay looking. I just can't keep from being distracted by the weapon.

If I had it, I would break off the spikes and add rope to secure the stone to the pole. On second throught, I would probably lop off the rock and add a Axe head.

TFM needs to step its game up.

They started like gangbusters, with soem of the most beautiful models i've ever seen.

Now we have this. And the "bat." A sculpt needs to be more than clean to be good.

There is an attitude that not having an insanely optimized, one shot, six stage, omnidirectional, inevitable, mousetrap of an assassin list army somehow means that you have foolishly wasted your life building 500 points of pure, 24 karat, hand rolled, fine, cuban fail. That attitude has been shown, under laboratory conditions, to cause cancer of the fun gland.

Hmm, this would make a great Chaos Ogre for my Warriors of Chaos army. The GW models are awful...

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.
