I'm a little confused.
Reading the Soul Drinkers books at the moment, that IG guy from the Sixers made a point about the technopriests avoiding the question and I remember reading somewhere else that the Omnissiah might be the same as C'Tan...

SO CONFUSED!

The Omnissiah is a God Like figure that the Adeptus Mechanicus Worshipped and Revered while Mars and Earth were separate Empires before the Emperor Took over Earth.

When the Emperor came to Mars, they Proclaimed him as the Avatar of the Omnissiah and worshipped him accordingly. Naturally this annoyed him somewhat but considering that they were rather powerful and knew more about the tech than anyone else, he let it slide.

Even in the "Modern" 40k the Imperium of Man is not one, but two Empires, allied to each other. Terra and its Vassals and Mars and its Vassals (mostly Forge Worlds).

There are theories that the Omnissiah is in fact a Sleeping C'Tan, but such thoughts are heresy...

yeah, it seems that since the emperor was incarcerated onto the golden throne the Adeptus Mechanicus realize they got it wrong and consider the omnissiah to be someone else. Considering the fact that there is a dormant C'tan on Mars (probably) it's quite likely him/her/it.

Sweet! So if C'Tan might still be on Mars, why doesn't the Imperium turn Mars into a crater?

Cos we know more than the imperium. And also cos Mars would never be left by the Adeptus Mechanicus. It's their most sacred world.

Wait, so tech-priests don't care about the Emperor? Huh?

Hello Guardsmen, look at your Leman, now back to mine, now back to your Leman, now back to mine. Sadly, your Leman isn't mine, but if they stopped using standard engines and switched to Lucifer Pattern, they could move like they're mine. Look down, back up. Where are you? Your in a battlefield with the Rhino your Leman could move like. Whats in your hand, back at me, I have it, it's the fire control for the Twin-linked Assault Cannons aimed at you. Look again, it's a Deep-Striked Land-Raider. Anything is possible when your Tanks move like Blood Angels, and not like Guardsmen. I'm on a Baneblade.

Forever alone

It's possible that the AdMech don't know what they're worshipping. Everything in the Necron codex points to the Void Dragon C'Tan being the Machine God, and there are legions of Necrons sleeping inside Mars.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Yeah, that's where the fluff seems to be headed. Who knows, the other C'tan may even be unleashed in their new dex.

And, of course, there's the plot of Mechanicus, which seems to imply that.....

SPOILERRRRR ALERRRRT!!!

Long ago in history, the emperor (in the guise of St.George) killed a 'Dragon' and imprisoned it in the Noctis Labyrinth on Mars.

HIghlight below.
This dragon is the Void Dragon, a Necron C'tan. The time period on Earth (at St. George vs dragon) matches up with the approximate time period of the end of the C'tan civil war, after which the void dragon came to Earth.

Congratulations, that was the stupidest remark the entire wargaming community has managed to produce in a long, long time.

Congratulations, your dismissive and conclusory commentary has provided nothing to this discussion or the wider community on whose behalf you arrogantly presume to speak nor does it engage in any meaningful way the remark it lamely targets. But you did manage to gain experience points toward your next level of internet tough guy.

Hmm, That is indeed a very interesting conspiracy theory
