Does anyone have a really good guide? I have looked through some like cmon painting guide. That's the best one I've seen. Can anyone help me? I'm really bad at sculpting.

practice practice pracice. it helps if you let the GS sit for about 10 mins before you start sculpting with it

From my recent beginnings in sculpting:

Get a clay or paint shaper. See the article in the tutorials section for more info on it. It really makes working with GS easy since it doesnt stick like other tools will. Its great for smoothing transitions and for pushing and pulling the gs into shape as well.

Use reference pics when trying to create something from scratch. Dakka, CMON, etc have tons of talented artists that you can find ref pictures of their green stuff work, and many of them show the progression.

Work in small stages. Don't try to sculpt an entire figure or even a peice at once. Work in stages so that your previous work is cured before you go back to that peice. Nothing worse than getting something perfect and then accidentally smushing it because you were working on a different area of the same peice. Build up general shapes at first and then begin fleshing them out and building sharper definitions and details wit hsuccesssive steps.

Have several diferent peices to work on at once so that you can allow sufficient time for peices to cure.

Scour the internet and hopbby sites like Dakka and CMON, etc to find examples of the things you are trying to do. Here are a few I found from 0 seconds of looking:

Good luck, and be sure to post your work so we can see it and encourage you as well as provide feedback.

Thanks everybody! I have only tried a face, and it is pretty big. I have searched a lot, but I couldn't find much.

I'm also interested in getting better, are you trying to do conversion sculpting; like adding on to an existing figure or trying to actually sculpt an original piece? Let me know if you find any good resources. It would be realy helpful to me if I could actually watch a video of someone doing a sculpt. Seen anything like that?

Keep your fingers and tools wet/damp and you will find GS much easier to play with as it will only stick to the model.

also work off a base of some sort like an existing model part, or a wire pin.

I think that being patient however is the most important thing as it can take a couple of times to get what you are really after.

Hope this helps
