I just got done reading the first book in the Horus Heresy series and i absolutely loved it. I am a huge fan of sci-fi however, this is the first time i've read any of the warhammer books. My question to you guys is, are the rest of the books in the horus heresy series as fun to read as the in the series? If I understand correctly, each book is written by different authors, this worries me. Should I finish the Horus Heresy series or should I find more books written by Dan Abnett?

Also, does anyone have suggestions for warhammer FB books? Id love to pick up some of those aswell.

p.s. I understand that this has nothing to do with lore so if there is another section I should post this in, let me know.

I am loving the series and if you liked the first book you will LOVE the 2-4th ones (Im on Fulgrim now - book 5). Not a fan of Abnett's writing style but I love how all the books tie together yet are written by different authors.

No clue on the fantasy side - I do love Salvatore's Forgotten Realms books. Have since High School when the Crystal Shard came out

Really? I thought Abnett did an excellent job portraying blood soaked scenes. My favorite being what happens to Jubal, that really got the heart pumping.

I agree completely. I just don't like his style. The action stuff is great but everything else seems really slow. I guess I just got burned with the Eisenhorn trilogy... Great story but really dragged in places.
