Ok in its current state its a bit of a Frankenstein, but with some left over parts and a Dreadnought arm I won for 99 cents by sheer luck, I decided to build dreadnought with some posability to it. Keep in mind I used sculpey on purpose instead of green stuff cause it allows me to shape the figure and make mistakes. Once I finalize things I'll be using either green stuff or epoxy sculpt to come back and build it up. I know it will be working backwards, but I don't care.
What I'll be using is a Mega Blocks Plasma Tech Robot (the red one)

The size fits nicely, but the sarcophagus hanging there doesnt look right.

Ok ... so its a little tall and there's no work to round out or square the body up .....
I decided to chop the legs and make it more squat looking and here are the results

ok, this is pretty much where I'm at .... there's more detail that needs to be done and I know it will indeed look different once I get to the point of priming. for now, constructive opinions would be great.... take it easy though, this is the first kit bash i've ever done so don't expect it to be of expert quality

i probably wont get a chance till the weekend to work on it again. i wasn't sure to leave the knee deflector things on the leg or where I repositioned them. If I leave it where I have it now I was going to round out the upper leg portion. what do you guys think?

I personaly like the legs how they are. I think they look fairly well proportioned so I'd say instead of doing stuff on the legs you should look as the assault cannon arm

the bigger thing is what my custom dreadnought looked like before the make over... i managed to get another one by sheer luck at a garage sale.
what is a knight class titan? .... sounds cool why would they remove such a thing? ....but then again it is GW so i'm not surprised

Wow, great to see some progress on this... the overall shape of the machine has gotten alot cleaner since the initial mockup, and it looks great because of it. I like the arm mods alot, and am also really impressed at how well the legs fit. Definitely keep us posted!

I don't really like the putty thing. IMO, keep the original body, just take the arms and put dreadnought weapons on them, and take off the head. putting some gothic stuff on the original body would make it look better.

oh the putty stuff is only temporary.... i wanted to get a feel for what direction i was going in by using this temporary stuff which allowed me to add or shave off material. I initially thought of building one keeping the original body, but for some reason it reminded more of a tau armor than a space marine feel to it. I will most likely use stryene or green stuff in its place to show the more bulky angular sides to it and add icons. For me the icons will probably be a challenge since I haven't worked detailing something this small. I have some ideas that I'm excited on to shape and detail the autocannon. After that the main body will be the next focus and there will definately be that grenade or smoke dispensing three tube thing on the top. Thanks for the comments ....

I don't really like it. It looks like a kid's toy and with the lack of detail on most of it, the sarcophagus looks really bad.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made. |

1)nice work converting so far
2)the knight titan used to be the bridge between dreadnoughts and titans
3) I can't figure out why GW removed it either
