Well I’m about to finish uni so it’s almost time to start a new army for a local and competitive tournament in July, so I’m thinking Orks (with a twist )

HQ
90 – Big Mek Ravashaw:
with Kustom Force Field and Eavy Armor
( He stays in the battlewagon and projects his force field, should it be destroyed he’ll leap onto the Trukk with the spare space)
100 – Warboss Groor: Power Klaw, Eavy Armour and Cybork Bits.
(He leads the 18 Boy Squad in the Battlewagon which will hopefully hit hard when it reaches a nice target)

TROOPS
153 – Boyz Squad:
18 Boyz with Choppas & Sluggas, 1 Nob with Power Klaw and Bosspole.
(Mounted In Battlewagon led by the Warboss, though I was tempted to go with Ard Boyz for this unit?)

405 – Nob Bikers: Painboy, 1 Nob with Big Choppas, 1 Nobs with Power Klaw, 1 Nob with Power Klaw and Bosspole, 1 Nob with Waaagh Banner, 1 Nob with choppa.
(These guys are my elite unit, they'll turbo-boost on the first turn and hopefully distract some fire away from my main force before mowning down some enemy units if this is too dangerous they'll play it safe and hunt down my opponents elite units. Also I understand a warboss would be great with these guys but I like my Warboss model at the moment, hopefully the bosepole, toughness and wound allocation should keep them going long enough to reach combat)

111 - Boyz Squad: 10 Boyz with Choppas & Sluggas, 1 Nob with, Eavy Armour and Bosspole. (Warboss included)
60 - Trukk: Rokkit Launcher, Armor Plates, Stikkbomb Launcha and Reinforced Ram.

117 - Boyz Squad: 11 Boyz with Choppas & Sluggas, 1 Nob with Power Klaw, Eavy Armour and Bosspole.
60 - Trukk: Rokkit Launcher, Armor Plates, Stikkbomb Launcha and Reinforced Ram.

117 - Boyz Squad: 11 Boyz with Choppas & Sluggas, 1 Nob with Power Klaw, Eavy Armour and Bosspole.
60 - Trukk: Rokkit Launcher, Armor Plates, Stikkbomb Launcha and Reinforced Ram.
(Depending on my opponent's army and deployment these guys will either stick close to the battlewagon to get the 4+ save or spread out and attack from different directions)

FAST ATTACK
70 – 2 Rokkit Buggies

(Good tank hunting unit, plus I love the conversion aspects. They'll escort the Battlewagon or try and shoot some side armour.)

HEAVY SUPPORT
140 – Battlewagon:
Deathrolla, 2 Big Shootas, Red Paint Job, Grot Riggers, Armor Plates and Stikkbomb Chukka.
(Duh! Wat ya tink?)

Total Pts: 1483
Total No: 61 ( 6)
Total Kill Pts: 11

Well what do you think?
I’ve got 15pts left to spend and I’m thinking either red paint jobs for all the trukks or an attack squig for the Warboss?

Well! Looks good to me. I wouldn't know, though, I am a total noob. Funny I've just posted a list which is similar to yours, but, well, a bit more random.

Greets!

I would replace the Buggies for Deffkoptas. They're harder to kill and are guaranteed to get some side armor shots on Turn 1. Good for blowing away those tanks that have to die quickly.

( all recommendations are if you collection permits ie if you don't have a model for it then don't do it)

Big Mek:- nothing really here, maybe cybork body instead of eavy armor, more flexable. I also usually give my mek a burna but that's for flavor

Warboss: At 100 points for what you have there are better options. You can get either a bike or mega armor for that price. They both have benifits (movement, +1 T, 4+ 4cover, and guns for the bike, 2+ power klaw and gun for the mega armor) sure you don't have the points for more extras but there are places to steal those from in your list. I would lean for the biker since you have the nobz to go with.

18 Boyz:- this is more or less perfect for the battle wagon leave it

Nob Bikers:- Great make up. Set for wound spreading. You might not need 2 PK's 1 is enough for most squads and would save you 25 pts, and I'm not totally sold in waaagh banners it seems like a minor benifit (striking on 3's against ws4) the points saved could be rolled into cybork bodies for the group. Just ideas there though.

(since all your trukks are the same I'll comment on them first)

Trukks:- ok... this might sound harsh but trukks only need 2 upgrades and want a 3rd. They need rams and red paint jobs for mobility and want armor plates if point permit. Heres the break down.
Rokkit launcher, trukks are boys delivery units plain and simple. Add the rokkit confuses the roll of the trukk, deliver the boyz or go after the tank will be the descion you have to make every turn and at 1 bs 2 shot (33% chance to hit) it's not a sure thing. If you have them for flavor though they are not a big offender.
Armor Plates trukks want em but don't need them. Trukks deliver boyz and in most games that will happen on turn 2 after that you shouldn't care about the trukk. So you are spending 10 pts for 2 turns of stun protection which is 1 of 6 results if you cut these you are saving 30 pts on your list to be used else where.
Rams, rams are cool, enough said.
Stikkbomb launcher. Freaking stikkbombs. Fluffy, yes, fun, sure, effective, no. Back in 4th ed when assault grenades allow you to strike at the same Initiative as the target they were great but now in 5th where they just allow you to strike at your regular initiative they are not so good. With them you are only beating tau and necrons in I order and tieing Guard none of which will really turn away the boys before you get to swing. Sure there are situations where they come in handy but not frequent enough to make it worth it, you can use that 15 points elsewhere.

The boys squads in trukks:- All good but the 'eavy armor on the nob, kind of a waste since you will have the boys soaking up the wounds before the nob falls. Having armor on the nob will tempt you to risk him to save a boy a wound and he is to valuable for that and by the time he is standing alone you've already lost the combat.

Buggies:- I agree with luigi, deffcoptas if you have them but cool other wise. if you can scrap them and roll points into another battle wagon though.....

Battle wagon:- mmm tasty, I run 2 rolla wagons myself, people hate them. Rolla and 2 big shootas is fine. Grot riggers, only ever had them work once, I wouldn't recommend them. Armor plates and stikk bombs are the same as the trukks maybe useful, but most likely not, save the points.

So with ditching the 'eavy armor on nobs, the stikkbombs, armor plates and rokkits you save 75 points. That's the power claw for the bike boss, cybork bodies for all that can have them and some extras. Or ditch the buggies and that's another battle wagon, compress 2 boys squads into 1 and put em in and still have 120 pts to play with for scraping the trukks and the extra nob. Or ditch the buggies and get 2 loota wagons with boomguns or some bikers or some burnas or.....

you get the point
