no
a purity seal.
i did this for my summer art exam and it was very cool looking

[Thumb - IMG_1725.JPG]

[Thumb - IMG_1726.JPG]
and this

[Thumb - IMG_1727.JPG]
remember fire burns(in other words for get and adult to help you)

[Thumb - IMG_1728.JPG]
as i said earlery get an adult to help you

[Thumb - IMG_1729.JPG]
1. light the red candle and red wax slide of and drop into the plastic lid

[Thumb - IMG_1732.JPG]
you should get this. it takes practise so keep trying

[Thumb - IMG_1737.JPG]
while you have the wax drying get a peice of brownish paper and rip down the sides till you have a strip you like.

[Thumb - IMG_1738.JPG]
writ your current w,l,d tally or some pointless phase

[Thumb - IMG_1739.JPG]
lift the seal off the plastic(you may need a spatula)

[Thumb - IMG_1740.JPG]
and then you have a very cool life size seal.( dont forget to glue it down).

You should totally fashion a signet to stamp it with! It would look awesome, maybe as a trophy for a tourney??

I looked at the first picture and wondered, "what on earth is that?" I think you should label it candle rather than "this" or get a better picture to make it idiot (i.e. me) proof.

Is it sad that I really want to do this with some legit looking parchment and wear it on some part of my clothing?

The answer is yes. Very sad.

Get a metal ring and put a clay skull and use a blowtorch to dry it onto it. Then all you need to do is stamp your ring on and you have a skull shape. Also you can make an aquila eagle like I did ^_^.

Keep in mind if you use a stamp to put an Aquilla/Skull into the wax it will come out inverted. If you want a Convex seal, like the models have, you'll need to either carve the shape into your stamp. Or using clay(or any medium), Press the Aquilla/Skull into that so there is an imprint and then use that to stamp the seal.

sorry... a little poor, and if you don't mind, drall.

Anyway, it's understandable:

Dip some coffee water [70GSM, so printing paper] on a piece of paper [size it as you wish] then let it dry and shrink. [important]. thats your paper.

Wax:
Get a red candle, light it, and collect some wax and stamp it.

not that hard, really.

Probably work

I have a few recommendations:

Try actual sealing wax, rather than candle. The disadvantage is that it's more expensive than a candle, and it's a little brittle, so you're not going to be able to be rough with them, but it's much harder and will give you much more defined angles, and it's designed to stick to paper, so you could just pour it directly over the top of your parchment and get it solidly embedded in there. Be careful though, as much as hot candle wax can be painful, this stuff sticks like napalm and stays hot for quite a while. As far as parchment goes, something I've always used for D&D games whenever I want something that feels authentic, I'll take a piece of printer paper and abuse it; crumple it up, cook it at VERY low temperatures in the oven, cut and fray the edges, etc. After this, I 'paint' the paper with used teabags. It gives the paper a convincing enough tint, and it's cheap/fast to do. I'd typically print out onto the paper in an appropriate font, i.e. papyrus or some equivalent, and then do all this within about 10 minutes before starting the game. Best of all, you get to enjoy a cup of tea in the meantime!
