I had a LATD army that I also could field as a "Traitor guard" based off of a certain hooded Mordheim fig and lots of chaos/IG bits:


Wasn't a cheap army to convert though but it was unique.

Sold it off in disgust when GW torpedoed the LATD list though...

Yeah, use the imp guard codex, replace officers and coms and preachers with zealots and magus etc, conscripts as mutant levies, ogryns as big mutants, if your feeling really creative with the army lists then use inquisitor allies from WH or DH as counts as and you can then use 'traitor guard' allies etc.

Plus with the penal legion troops, you could make some really neat cultists from the bonus that you roll on. Sometime next year I plan on doing Tau Human auxiliary army using the codex.

For Traitor Guard, you just can't go past The Hoff. Because Aussies do everything better.

I use flagellant bodies with Catachan arms and Pig Iron production heads. Take a look at my gallery for some WIP shots.

With the new book, I will be running an IG gunline with lots of tanks for support. Not the best option but still very competitive. I may pick up some Forgeworld Renegades to use as Veterans and the renegade Ogryns for casual play.

Guard with WH Allies is definitely the way to go under current Codex rules. Lots of options for cool stuff.

Yip rather go with the new IG dex,boy would I love to see a chaos Valkyrie.

For traitor guard you can either use standard guard, but with a new chaos like paint job, or, start using alot of GS

armour plates, more of a "dead look" to them, gas masks, just a whole fall out 3 style

Radical Inquisitor and Primaris Psycher! Do it nao! Close combat Guard. I demand it! Penal Legions are lunatics which is FTW! Blaaargh, expect a list by me to show up in the next 3 days on Army Lists as I just have to expand on the possibilities of doing immoral things with the latest codex.

Honestly a mix of IG and WH is the best its to bad the Possessed Daemons are n the GK list I mean can you take Witchunters and Daemons in the same list.

Main army Imperial Guard

Then Stuff From Witchhunters

Then stuff from Daemonhunters

Yes, if your parent army is IG you can ally with both Inquisition books.
