I was perusing Armorcast's web site when I found this:

http://armorcast.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=1048

Read the description. It is a zombie set that comes in a padded VHS case designed to resemble a B rated horror movie. That got me thinking: I have a ton of old VHS tapes that are worthless now, so what if I took out the tapes and made custom foam trays to line them with? Then Put labels on them with the contents listed on the spine. I could store a whole lot of miniatures safely this way! What do you guys think, worth trying?

I've seen/heard of this before (Wee Toy Soldiers, maybe?). Probably a great solution for smaller scale stuff (15mm or smaller--probably would be fantastic Battletech storage).

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

You don't think it would fit a 40k mini on its side?

If you wanna carry around 1 million cases then sure (ork and IG players).. but i guess you collect Grey Knights.. so would probly be perfect.. except for the really big models..

Too many armies to count now.. mainly all 40k and AoS

For us SM players it might work. I guess I'll have to dig out an old case and see just how many infantry models will fit in one after lining it with foam and a tray.
