This'll be quite a multi-purpose venture, as I tend to bounce from project to project and idea to idea - there might well be other stuff in this blog as I work on it.
To begin with my work on my friend's Black Legion; I'm trying to summarise quite a lot so as to not bore you guys. This army is a joint venture between me and my friend Nick. He's a capable painter but tends to get bored and side-tracked. I've managed to get him interested in the Black Legion and I've helped him with his army, building and converting most of the models, whilst letting him paint them.
Converted Abaddon:
Our first squad:
Our Lord, Melchor:
Here's some other shots of the squads thus far; closeups available on request.
Squad Arkhan
Squad Sorghar
Squad Brakhar (Khorne Berserkers)
Vindicator
Gribbles!
An unholy blend of a squig, green-stuff, and genestealer arms. I'm considering making a few more and using them as lesser daemons - mindless denizens of the warp pulled onto the material plane to kill things...
As you can tell, in this picture he's missing his head (Nick's got it) so I mocked up a brilliantly sculpted replacement so as not to spoil your viewing experience:
For my friend's Black Legion, here's an Obliterator conversion I worked on. I hate the current Obliterators, so did this to try to salvage one:
My hope was that by making them stand straighter, they'd look a bit more intimidating.

Some Legion of the Damned that I'm slowly working on:
Here's Centurius in his glory:
My first LOTD squad, WIP:
I've been considering recreating this piece of artwork:
So here's the poor Sword Bearer waiting to be rescued by the Legion:
I've just finished my degree and have time to model once more, so hopefully I'll have some cool stuff to show!

You sir, are very good.
I like this whole bunch a lot.
I like the Castigators even more though -- brilliant! I'm glad you've arrived here. I LOVE the assault squad castigator. Honestly, I thought that that would be the perfect renegade, but, you know, it's cool as is.
Peace.

"And what is wrong with their life? What on earth is less reprehensible than the life of the Levovs?"
- American Pastoral, Philip Roth
Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed at him, we leagued with him, old chum.
No soldier's paid to kick against His powers.
We laughed - knowing that better men would come,
And greater wars: when each proud fighter brags
He wars on Death, for lives; not men, for flags. |

Great work so far, allthough i despise you for cutting up Centurius lol
you do realise he sells for about £50 - £70 right?
and is a great model
all legion models are bloody expensive now and hard to find.

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor. |

@ smiling Assassin: Thanks for the comment! The Castigators are my DIY Chapter (you can see more on the B+C thread in my signature) - I've never really managed to make a full army for them as my modelling skill has never really managed to match my vision. I really like the motion in this Sergeant, though.
@ Gaznab: ...again? I have to admit I'm a bit lost! Do we talk on another forum?
@JD21290: Don't despise me! Centurius hasn't been cut up! I actually got given Centurius (in an original blister) along with 24 metal Legionnaires, assorted backpacks and shoulderpads for free! I'm slowly going to try to put them together. As I said in my first post, I tend to bounce from project to project.
@ Malika2, BOSS_PIMPALOTZ: Thanks!
