I have been in a slump with painting my armies for the last two weeks or so; I have had to force myself to work on anything, and haven't managed to finish much. Now on friday I have two essays due, and what do I want to do more than anything? Paint. I am looking over my forlorn half painted hordes with itchy fingers near a paintbrush. Does this happen to anyone else, or am I alone in my productive procrastination?

Yes, I am an extreme procrastinator. I had a final to study for last night and i just ended up watching TV and playing video games until 10 or so and then studied a few hours before I went to sleep.

Sometimes...you would just rather do ANYTHING than study/work.

My procrastination level is OVER 9000.

I was late to all of my finals, because I procrastinated too much on leaving for class.

(I wasn't very late though. Nothing bad happened, besides the teachers exasperated looks of "late even on the last day, I see".)

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

I procrastinate way too much. Everytime I look at my homework, I think to myself I'll get it done later. Later is defined as five minutes before class, usually.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Take the Stompa challenge!

You have 1 month to paint 1000 points of minis. If you do not have 1000 points by the end of the month, you must buy everyone in your gaming group a Stompa. If you do have 1000 points painted by then, then you've got yourself 1000 points of painted minis!

I would never take the stompa challenge.I dont think, at the rate I paint even when I paint every day, that I could get 1000 pts of anything done in a month, except maybe deathwing, or GKs. That and I dont have enough money to buy 6 stompas atm.

Is this a GW sponsored challenge?

Take a break. Stop painting all together and get whatever it is in your life done that you feel takes priority. It's a hobby man, if you treat it like a job you'll put it off hard. After a few days or weeks of neglecting everything you'll see the stuff and think "Man that would be fun right now!".

It works for me so YMMV

Once upon a time, I told myself it's better to be smart than lucky. Every day, the world proves me wrong a little more.

No, GW would have really lost their marbles is it was

It's more of a challenge issued by your gaming group if you have absolutely nothing in your army painted.
