You should more more things between the main turret and the side of the tank. to much space maybe add moar weapons

You need bigger blades at the front, you certainly need to do something with the big flat area at the front under the turret. An eagle maybe, some more lights, maybe some spikes or barbed wire along the top to stop enemy troops climbing onto the front of the tank and some loops to attach chains/ropes to.

Just looked at the datasheet for this and you don't have the TL heavy bolter yet so you could put that in the flat area. Maybe have two heavy bolters instead on either side of the flat area but they "counts as" TL.

Beef up the ram, raise the front turret ever so slightly so that it is not flush with the model (so it looks like its capable of turning), the front plasticard panel would look better angled rather than at 90 degrees to the hull plate, then all yon need is a metric F**kton of rivets for all the plasticard sheets, and some of the larger skulls (like the forgeworld ones). It should look pretty cool when your done.

It looks nice, the ram could be bigger and what everyone else said is good. I like how the conversion emphasis the transport part of the tank. It does more so than the official model. Nice work man.

all nice suggestions. Thanks

Had to spread the "construction-period" over some weekends. Was sure there was something missing, but couldn't point at it.

More skulls seem always get mentioned. Interesting fact is, GW's "out of the box" tanks doesn't have a noticable amount of skulls.
So raising the number of skulls and aquilas to surpass GW.
Liked the quote about welding beeing lost tech to the imperium, but after painting most of the Tanks wont benefit much of rivets. Maybe one side-effect of the camo-scheme i use for most IG vehicles?

Change of main gun emplacement = done. Good idea, seems i've rushed this part of the modelling when it was late. Now, more space for detailling the forward section.
HB in front as "lawnmower" = interesting, not done often by myself since i dislike immobile guns but give it a try here.
Front ram = looks small, but is not. Should have placed a standard sized model alongside for comparision. I will care about the ram in the late stages of construction,
the ram in the pic isn't fixed so may get changed.

PIC for a decent impression of the size of this tank:

If you removed the seats in the back would the chimera fit inside? That is one big tank.

It's a tremendous effort, but it's just too wide for the tracks.

Transport 50 doesn't mean you need to get a full 50+ 25mm round bases in the vehicle. Look at the Rhino - it's supposed to carry 10 SM, but you'd be hard pressed to get more than 5 or 6 bases inside. And those are PA models. IG you could pack them a lot tighter, like a Gorgon. If you could get 8 bases per layer, you'd be fine.

If the center were narrowed, all of the other design elements (dual deck Transport, turreted gun, etc.) would work just fine and the overall proportions would fall into line.

It's too wide, and the turret looks very alone with the big flat expanses to either side.

It fits if you didn't attach any antenna or extra weapons, just the basic chimera.

Still better ground pressure rate than most non-baneblade tracked GW vehicles.

Was an experiment to get 40, you know => 40, models or the same transport space in other models into a tank.
Lead sadly to a little boxy design.
A broader tank doesnt have the same problems as a longer one, so decided to widen it.

The flatness was dealt with ( after that pic )

I'll mark this day in my calendar if you don't mind.....
Seems i am really in trouble now...

At least i was clever enough to keep it as standard baneblade turret, easy to exchange those.

I think Land Raider has better ground pressure than your conversion. And equal (if not slightly lower) chance to high-center on rough terrain...

I've been playing with Stormlord conversion design, and just needed a longer and slightly taller crew compartment using a dual-deck design. Packed tight, like a Gorgon, 50 Guardsmen will fit without needing to increase the width so much. However, I didn't re-mount to a turret like you did, so you lost a little more space that way.

But you definitely win on the grimdark, that's for sure!

Oh, winning the grim-dark .....but ... am i now down to adeptus mechanicus design quality ? Shall do better next time.

The first impression is mostly reliable, i accept it as is and will return to 40k-ish sizes from now on.

Terrain abilities are not so bad for such design as mine. May not compete with the sci-fi / fantasy factor of 40k tough.
Self-restrictions like " real transport capacity" and "turret guns" may have hampered the style a bit too.

Will get this tank ready soon. Hope the "modelling&painting" audience likes it then.....
