Up North

Just a cmpaign that me and some friends are playing.
Fluff 30 Years ago Lucan was a sector capital, a giant that had been in the Imperium for Millenia. The high lord of Lucan invested millions of his own fortune into the desert islands which were the administrative heart of the sector. He was almost bankrupt when the 2nd moon of Lucan crashed into his palace. He and a large amount of the noble family of Lucan died. The dust and debris blackened the skies changing the climate and the force of the moon pushed Lucan's orbit further away from the local sun. Many millions more died as the ice age formed, crops died, power sources failed. The Imperium listed Lucan as unsaveable (or rather a costly use of resources for little gain.). One of the quirks of the disaster was that soon after, a new species of predator developed, the Wolves. The Wolverines make exstensive use of them. A few distinct cultures have formed and are now battling for control of the world. The wolverines live in small settlements in the countryside far away from the old hives, occupying lots of low grade land. Military wise they are quite well off as they have many troopers, a few tanks traded from the Adeptus Mechanicus and the local 'killer'-wolves, but they lack heavy weapons and militay veterans. The Noble house of Lucan centre around the family's heirs, they occupy most of the old hives. Military wise they have an elite core of house bodyguards but rely on conscripts from the surviving public and Penal troopers released from prisons to serve them, but since they occupy the hives where the cogiators are they recieve lots of special weapons and tanks from the Adeptus Mechanicum. More to come.
