Two new expansions for fallout 3 will be released later this year (june/july), "Point Lookout" and "Mothership Zeta". PS3 owners will also be happy to know that all DLC will eventually make it's way to them, first as downloads, then in a "game of the year" bundle containing all 5 expansions (also to be released for 360 and PC).

I downloaded Broken Steel from the german markeltplace after playing the UK version.
The german voice-over is horrible! I guess I'll wait for the game of the year editions, since it's not my game anyway

I for one can't wait and can't get enough of Fallout 3, it's really grown on to me like some form of terminal fungi.

Having played through all the Fallout DLC so far (Broken Steel/Anchorage/Pitt) I'll sum it up in a Few Short Words:

Seriously, the DLC for Fallout 3 is Pathetic. The only good thing about it was the Level Cap, and eben then that was easily Circumvented.

All In all Bethenda either need to Do it Right or just let the mod Community do its job, I mean, seriously, there are mods that add so much more, and for free.

More often than not, it's a few reskinned mobs, removing a level cap and adding a few random areas.

So what exactly was your issue with the DLC? I enjoyed them all, personally - though I'll concede that there was still plenty of room for improvement.

What do you expect of DLC that's about eight to ten bucks per instalment huh?

As if the current slew of mods out there are so great. Oh yes, titties and cunnies! Tweaked stats! New hair types! But all in all those mods make the game even more unstable than before.

Mods in EVERY modable game are 99% garbage. It's the 1% that make them worth it.

Here are some non-dookie mods for you folks:

RobCo Certified - A three-tiered perk allowing the player to repair broken robots for use as henchmen. Each tier allows different types of robots to be repaired.

FourEyes Perk - A perk that awards +2 INT and +10 SCIENCE at the cost of -1 STR and CHA, as well as -4 PER and Myopic Blur effect while not wearing prescription lenses. Excellent in conjunction with RobCo Certified...

SagerFallout3 - A balancing mod that opens up the ability to slow down leveling, decrease player HP, increase damage done by weapons, etc. (Different options can be enabled or disabled in the Data Files portion of the Fallout launcher. I've found the option to slow down leveling useful, it was annoying to hit 20 before even finishing the GNR quest.)

Badass Super Mutants - Another balancing mod that increases the HP of super mutants as well as giving them more powerful weapons. (NB: don't use SagerFallout3 and Badass Super Mutants at the same time unless you want to do an insanely difficult run of the game.)

Cross-Repair Weapons - Allows repair of various weapons to use items other than just copies of the weapon itself, e.g. allows repair of the Chinese Assault Rifle using the Assault Rifle, the 10mm SMG using the 10mm pistol, etc.

Fellout Weather Overhaul - Makes the sunrises and sunsets much more beautiful (as you would expect given such a dirty atmosphere) and makes the nights really dark. Try fighting some Badass Super Mutants at night with this mod if you're looking for a challenge.

Alternate Start - Switch up starting stats, scenarios, and factions.

what did you expect, a new game for eight bucks? You guys want the impossible and complain because you can't have it. The new fallout 3 downladable content was very good. Although I wish they would stop making DLC and move on to making fallout 4 so it won't take nine or so years again.

Fallout 4 is done by a different company who has a lot of members from Black Isle Studios, the guys who did F1 and F2.

Well, Obsidian did KotOR 2 and Neverwinter Nights 2, a mixed bag if you ask me.

What did you glitch out? All I got were the Chinese sword, gauss rifle and the Winterised Power Armour (and some other stuff) from the vault that opened after.

If you drag Gary's corpse onto the VR chair, it's possible to go into the search menu and offload all your items onto him before the game takes them all away at the end of the mission. You can get the winterised combat armour this way. And the best part is that many of the weapons you remove this way will be much more resistant to degrading.

I wish I'd got the non-degrading shocksword (shoot it out of the guy's hand) though, 'cause it's my favourite weapon now - instant sneak attack kills on sentry bots is pretty hard to argue with.

If you play on the PC you can just use the console to get them. The reason those weapons and armour are so durable is because the durability is set to one million or something like that, unlike regular items.

I actually had a brilliant bug where i had both Fawks and Paladin Cross following me. It fixed after I did the Pitt though ;(

Im currently lvl 29 and have done the main quest and all the DLC. Not sure what else to do now. I guess I'll just explore and kill stuff with my super Gauss rifle

What do you suggest I take for my LVL 30 perk (because It will be forever till i get enough to become lvl 31 with my level cap mod), Almost perfect (All SPECIAL to 9) or The one that makes you asplode if you are near dead?

I'm not so sure about "Almost perfect". Seems a bit boring to me. If you can boost your stats like that your character will suddenly be good with [i]anything[/]. Where's the fun in that?

TBH I want it for the srength 9. I am having problems with my 280 weight Limit. I think it's because I carry around a missile launcher and Fat man all the time lol

Its Fallout 3: New Vegas.

It might not even use a number, but Fallout 4 will eventually be made by Bethesda, like Elder Scrolls 5 will. As of yet there are no plans but the place has been reserved.

So a different company is making new vegas? Would it not be better to release it as an Expansion/Standalone to Fallout 3?

That wasn't what I was referring to.

I was referring to the guy talking about the community created mods

I've just downloaded Operation: Anchorage and Broken Steel, and I enjoyed them. Ok, so they aren't reaaaally long...but at least now with Broken Steel I can wander the wastes and kill more stuffs.


So, there's hoping these are fun too!

I found the moral greys of the Pitt rather interesting. The first time playing through it I had a really, really hard time with the big choice that the game threw into your face. Broken Steel was okay, the final battle was fine and dandy but it didn't feel so great. A giant tracked base is awesome, but spamming Hellfire troopers against the PC is rather weak. At least Scribe Bigsley made up for that, he's one lovely sour bastard.

In all, I find each expansion worth the 800 pts as they do add some nice things to the core game, be it Hei Gui armor, the lovely Perforator or the new sections of Old Olney.

Man, the ending of the pitt threw me so bad I had to do the whole thing again to get the other ending. Stupid morals!

Same here, I felt really bad about what I was supposed to do and how I was lied to. Playing through both endings gave me something of an inkling about what would be best. I guess games can really hit you in a good place when it evokes such a strong feeling of right or wrong.

Hei Gui is the Chinese Stealth armour. It was my favourite toy until I got the Perforator.
