Just need a little clarification.

For the LRC's Hurricane Bolters, the codex says that hurricane bolters count as three twin-linked bolters, fired as a single weapon.

If all of them are fired as a single weapon, would that be a total of three bolter shots fired from each hurricane bolter sponson, for a total of six S4 AP5 shots fired?

Thanks in advance...

Rico

You still use the rules for them from their codex. Codex>brb.

So DH/GK landraider crusaders get non-rending assault cannons and hurricane bolters which can always fire regardless of movement distance (plus, the machine spirit rule, courtesy DH FAQ).

Yup, Daemonhunters apparently have Better Bolters but have gummed up Assault Cannons.

Oh Well.

What do you mean they always fire?

We are talking about the regular SM 5th Edition Codex, right?

I am talking about the fifth edition; however, I play DA, and with their codex not handy I can't discern if their LRC is different from the vanilla LRCs. I am assuming so, though. However, I believe their LRC has some subtle differences from the Vanilla marines LRC (a free MultiMelta comes to mind).

BACK on topic, I don't see how the hurricane bolters are defensive weapons-that'd be akin to saying the lascannons on a LR are defensive weapons and always fire... That just doesn't make sense in my eyes.

Hurricane Bolters are Defensive weapons because they are Str 4.

I have no Idea were what people are talking about when it comes to always having to fire....
