I've been looking to pick up a box of Warriors of Hazard from the LOTR line but I'm not sure how they would compare to 40k Guardsmen. Would they be around the same size or would they look more like cousins of Ratlings? Thanks for any input, especially pics! I've never purchased or really examined LOTR mini's as I left the hobby around that time.

It's not Warriors of Hazard, it's Harad. Originally, I thought this post had something to do with a Duke of Hazard themed army.

LotR minis are true scale, where 40k is heroic scale. So, in 40k, things like weapons are bigger to stand out more, and most of the bodies are big too.

LotR minis are more Tau Firewarrior sized than IG size. Still bigger than a ratling, but not as big as an IG model.

In the dark future, there are skulls for everyone. But only the bad guys get spikes. And rivets for all, apparently welding was lost in the Dark Age of Technology. -from C.Borer

On the plus side, their slightly smaller size will make space marines look appropriately scaled to your guardsmen.

Haha, thread title fixed now! I must admit I'm not exactly sober right now. Hmm Tau size doesn't seem too bad.

My regular opponent would cry but that would look cool on the tabletop.

Warriors of Harad for bodies and hasslefree pulse rifles or railguns for weapons. Job's a good un!
