Not bad but still a little too pretty for Orks. The concept is right a big box with a spring loaded door that pops open on impact with some rockets to slow you down so you won't smash into the ground hopefully.

Pretty obvious what it's made from. I'd paint it and add some gubbinz.

All in good time. Use a dremel tool here and there to make bullet holes and impact damage, and of course paint it up so it looks all sorts of wrecked. It's supposed to be more of a "failed prototype" for an ork droppod. Maybe use an old CD that no one wants for the base, and put a few orks that didn't make it on the base and in the droppod. I made it as a terrain piece and I think the final product may turn out like I had hoped. You may have to let me take it to St. Joe with me OrkyLooter, so I can finish it up and send it back to you through the mail.

Looks pretty good, but I prefer Roks. Orks are known for their lack of subtlety, after all.

orks use roks as drop pods there asteroids dude no engines to slow them just loads of boys who hopefully survive and if they dont you got to bomb there lines with an asteroid win..win

well this comes from a fighta bomba they dont have the roks on them

I always liked a model I saw once of a looted Rhino with 4-6 rokkets attach & still smoking, crashed head first into a crater it made on impact.

I think if orks ever used a drop pod they would only succeed in killing themselves and not their enemies.

I think Ork drop pods have good reason to exist, but I also think it's a good point that Ork casualties from their use would be pretty high.

I think a true orky drop pod would have a bunch of gretchin on top holding umbrellas (to slow the descent, duh!)

All in all, it is like a big rok. If it were to fall from the sky, it would create a nice hole in whatever army you're facing. Really I just made it more for the fun of it. More of a terrain project than actual play. Just imagine it as being an Orky version of a Space Marine drop pod. Warboss sees Marine drop pods falling from the sky and says, "Wes goin to have to make us sum of dose." So it's just a prototype gone bad.

Or just a 'Looted Droppod' A Warboss in space manages to board and overtake a space marine vessel, then desides he just has to get to the ground battle the fastest.
