I believe I read on Dakka Dakka a comparison of Space Hulk First and Second Editions. (Apologies if I am incorrect.)

One of the comments made in the article was the blips from both editions are different in appearance, therefore mixing Space Hulk Second Edition blips with the First Edition blips in Genestealer may be problematic.

I have one solution to this issue. The blips from Litko Aerosystems could be used. The backs of these tokens are blank, therefore you will need to add labels or write the number of Genestealers using a marker to these faces of the markers.

Do you have suggestions on the size of Litko flame tokens to use with Space Hulk?

Are they the guys that make the industrial to... ok, no, not again.

Really the main issue with mixing them is that players will know that the old ones won't have 4, 5 or 6 Genestealers on them. Honestly it's not that big a problem because:

1. They still won't know the exact amount.
2. 1 Genestealer is always one too many, so who cares how many more there are.
3. I've never needed more than one set of Blip Counters in a single game.

Forever alone

You know, the name Litko Aerosystems is familiar. I think they make something tall and industrial as well as some kind of hallways...

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Not quite. Yes, the original SH 1.0 set only went from 1-3.

However, when mixed with the Deathwing and Genestealer expansions for SH1.0, they go from 1-6, but there are also an alphabet set (A-I from memory - they're currently sitting in a box at my club) which were for the various hybrid weapon options. I used to use the alpha ones for 'hidden' deployment in 3rd ed missions (and write down on a list what was what). My opponent would know something was there, but not what. Funny when he'd infiltrate his guys near units they couldn't hurt.

The 2nd ed ones have a different 'blip' graphic as well as a different stealer pic, and do stand out like dog's tackle when put next to the originals.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

Litko Aerosystems. I hear they make some pretty mean industrial scenery. Anyone buy any?

Yes but as I said - So what? What difference does it actually make besides aesthetics? It won't affect the game at all. It doesn't make that big a difference whether your 3 Genestealer blip counter is an old one or a new one, the Terminator player still won't know what it is until it is flipped. And if the expansion blip counters had 4-6 on them, then there's even less of a problem. There are the lettered one's, sure, but if you're not using Hybrids then they're not a problem either - just don't mix them in with the other ones. Not that hard.
