Does anyone know if there are referances to especially Inquisition Warhounds, Reavers, etc, as I have a concept for one and was wondering if I could pass it off fluff-wise or not.

Though I'm unsure where my sketch is as of now, I was pleased with the look, and was planning on making it when life intervened, and I got distracted.

Just wondering if there would be any major objections to this, or any direct references.

The Inquisition doesn't have big standing armies. It's not impossible for them to have a Titan, but it's far more likely they'd just go to the AdMech and 'requisition' one. I would imagine the conversation would be something like this:
Inquisitor, "I need you to dispatch a warhound titan to this planet."
AdMech, "And what happens if I say no?"
Inquisitor, "Then you're obviously a heretic and traitor and I'll kill you and everyone in this building. And then take the Titan anyway."
AdMech, "Well, in that case, do you need priority overnight or just 2 day delivery?"

Any thoughts on whether or not a an Iquisitor Lord type of charactor could comission one for himself?

Granted an Inquisitor can legally commandeer anything from a naval task force, local PDF forces, a guard regiment, and in theory the Astartes, they probably could take over a titian if they wanted to. However for the actual commandeering, I think this faces the same problem as telling what the Astartes what to do. The Mechanicus are very independent and do not take well to the Inquisition telling them what to do. The Mechanicus can say no to the Inquisitor and lets say that the Inquisitor does kill they crew. I highly doubt that said Inquisitor would have a replacement crew ready. These are the God Machines of the Mechanicus. So it is not like there are lot of highly skilled crews running around that are not under Mechanicus control. Plus how would the Inquisition move the bloody thing without the Mechanicus's help? That is my two cents, plus it does not fit (to me anyways) the shadowy nature of the Inquisition, a titian is like a B-52 or an Aircraft Carrier, you use when you want to scare your opponents or when you do not care that they know that you are there.
Well that is my take at any rate.

Actualy, it's worse then that. The Mechanicum is not technicaly part of the Imperium. They are an independent allied empire. The Inquasition has no athority on the Machanicum's soil. Indeed, several prominante inquisitors who looked to hard into the servents of the Machine God have a tendancy to... disapear.

On the other hand, many of the smarter inquisitors foster strong realitionships with members of the mechanicum, the same way they do with Astartes chapters. That way, your request to borrow a titan is much more likely to be acceped, at least with smaller cost. Indeed a Senior Inquisitor with his own ship (which some do have, see blackships) and a good enough relationship with the Mechanicum might have done something to warent the 'perminante loan' of a titan. (like save a forgeworld from chaos attack)

In the end, you can almost always make the fluff fit the model if the models cool enough.

The Inquisition doesn't have Titans, they have sky-scraper sized Wickermen filled with heretics.

It's a titan legion of Imperators dedicated to enforcing the Imperium upon newly discovered worlds. Apparently each Imperator comes with it's own complement of Arbites and Inquisition.

Closest you're gonna get i think...

Thanks ArbitorIan, I'll look into that...

That's one of the things that I love about the inquisition - the fact that, in theory, they can do whatever they darn well want... And of course it always gives a good catch for a battle. For example:
Inquisitor Lord: "Marneus Calgar, I'm commadering your forces for a covert operation of mine."
"Oh no you're not! Those are my men."
"Then I'm going to have to kill you... =)"

Stuff like that...

As cool as the concept is, I can't come up with a circumstance where the Inquistion would "own" a titan.

I can see a very senior inquisitor who's on very good terms with the AdMech using one as his command center in a major engagement but it wouldn't look any different to a normal titan.

Okay, you do realize that even an Inquisitor Lord would not be dumb enough to threaten the Master of the Ultramarines or any other first founding legions/chapters? I mean, that is really pushing the boundaries. Especially if he does in Ultramarine territory.
At any rate, Calgar would be willing to give said Inquisitor Lord troops for his cause, if he asked nicely. Even Inquisitors know that a little humility and politeness goes a long way, especially with the Astartes.

Yeah, a 'gift' was the best fluff I could come up with.

As for an Inquisitors athority, 40k is full of Inquisitors that took their athority to far and end up ignored, assasinated or worse. While they technicaly have the athority to requasiton almost anything, almost anyone with more then 100 men under their command has enough political clout and/or resorces to make things very hard on the inquistor if they brandash that athority with to much gusto. (Space Marines in particular are known for telling inquisitors to get lost) And if you go around killing to many people who ignore/deny you, it makes others all the less likely to deal with you.

On the other hand, you do your job right, don't grab more then you need more often then you need it, etc. An inquisitor can become a very powerful person. Kryptman is a great example of that.

It all comes down to the Imperiums Schizophrenic attitude towards Power, and the fact that no-one is allowed to have too much (Anymore anyway, we all know how well it worked out last time).

An Inquisitor can Requisition any Imperial Resources to his needs, no matter what, but there will be hell to pay (and probably a few Assassins) if he does anything Suspect.

In actual fact, a Titan is one of the few things an Inquisitor CANNOT requisition, because the Titan legions are Vassals of the Adeptus Mechanicus, who are a separate Empire in Alliance with that of Terra (their empire consists of every single forge world ). However, an Inquisitor did not get to where he was without making allies, and he is more than likely able to pull some influence to get one sent to where he needs it if he ever does.

Is there any fluff regarding the inquisition getting their hands on a Psi-Titan? Because that seems like the one titan class geared towards their line of work.
