I play on a 4x8.

But 4x6 seems to be getting more and more popular.

Own and play
+/- 3,500 Dark Eldar (8% painted)
+/- 4,500 Tyranids (99% painted)
+/- 4,500 Necrons (82% painted)
Proxy and play
Chaos Space Marines

4x6 is what the 4th and 5th rulebooks say, and 25% terrain.

we play 4'x6' as it is a little easier to fit into the room
If you are making a large battle-table, I would suggest using modular 2'x2' sections, that can be swapped around for variety in your fights.

I refuse to enter a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent.

I would recommend 4X8, for smaller games it would give you 2 feet of room on the side

Im with Tao on that one. It also gives you room to make rolls

4 X 6 is most abundant and I use it alot. 4 X 8 would be ideal. The modular idea is good. GW tables are small so don't spoil yourself if want to game there.

I could've sworn we just did this in another thread... anyway, I've got a 8X4 and a 6X5 table. As we mostly play 6X4 games this works very well, giving ample room for dice, models that are dead or in reserve, drinks and lines of cocaine*.

*I play 40K; as if I could afford cocaine!
