I did the same conversion job on my Grot Prod as you did for one of your tank busta's. I also did not like the original skorcha and turned a 3ed trukk into a skorcha (though it's not trakked, but it's OK)
Post up your Grot prod conversion then buddy...share!

Nice trukk conversion...bung some oil drums and a bit of wire on it to give the Skorcha a fuel supply!

I am loving the Ork trike.
Glad you like it...it's fairly simple...but effective (and made from bitz).

The second set of CC arms mounted where the ranged weapons go are far too weedy and look a bit half-assed.
Well, I had a long hard think about what I was going to do with the extra close combat arms...they weren't just added as an afterthought. I looked at using the arms from the Killa Kan models as they are shorter than the Deff Dread arms...unfortunately, regardless of how I posed the model I always thought two things:
1.) Having 4 fully articulated arms made it look TOO cluttered.
2.) Aside from the lower arms interfering with the movement of the legs, how is an Ork (not the brightest of xeno's) going to coherently control 4
CC arms and move at the same time?
I wanted the lower arms to just move through the vertical plane so they could be set at a low point by the ork pilot and left to snip/whirr on automatic...making a frontal assault very difficult especially as the other two arms WOULD be controlled by the Ork. I was very concious that the vertical only arms needed to be well out of the way of the fully articultaed arms to prevent the Dredd getting itself tangled up.
Aesthetically I am quite pleased with how they turned out and think it will probably look better painted but thanks for your input anyway...all critique gratefully accepted
