I am looking to start an inquisitorial army.
Im mainly looking to use storm troopers under the daemonhunters codex but am not
looking to use 40K pieces but instead pig iron production minis.
I have a few minis about 20 minis, am looking to start a 2000 point army

please help me set up an army list.

PM me or email me at cbdeponte13@yahoo.com

You'll need an inquisitor lord then (and a retinue for him - I've been using two mystics and three gun servitors).

You want Grey Knights? Or going with 'softer' choices.

I have 4 squads of 10 ISTs in my pool of troops (available models) with multiple special weapons - I generally only use two squads, but I use Grey Knights as well.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

Grey Knights are, IMO, a more desirable troop choice in an Inquisitorial army. Oh and if you are going to buy any GK buy them now. GW is having a price increase and I think that the GK Termies are on the list of models that will soon be more expensive. BTW, GK Termies are some of the most kick ass looking models out there. I don't play a lot of DH but own a few because they are just so cool looking.

I bet the folks over in the 40K ARMY LISTS forum would be a better help.

I am moving this thread to the 40K Army Lists forum.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

It sounds like you don't really know anything about 40k. Read the codex and rule book before making an army list.

Going to agree with ph34r on this one, and you're going to need a lot more than 20 minis to make a 2000 point daemon hunters/inqusition army.

Also the models that you have (pig iron) or whatever, need to have accurate representation of weapons/equipment on the models themselves to make them play ready. Which means you would need to do some converting.

But this is way in the future, you'll need to learn about the game and how it works first. Also, I doubt anyone is going to do the work for you and send you an army list, especially when you don't have any foundation on the rules or have any idea what kind of a list you're working towards.

I would take a look at the army lists section and look at some of the 2000 point inqusition armies. They aren't common, so you might have to scroll a bit to find some. Take a look at other people's list, read the comments and try and find out why people take certain peices in their armies.

After all that, you should be ready to post your own army list, and then have people help you make it more playable.

That's my 2 cents.
