New to the board, just wanted to get some feedback on my Valkyrie kit bashing attempt.

First of all materials used for conversion were the following:

-1/48 Hind model
-Star Wars Pod racer
-Insane amount of plastic sprues and plastic sheets
-Green stuff

Picture of scratch built landing skids.

Side door.

I started this project for fun because like most people, I thought $60 was a shade rich for my blood. I usually like to see if I can create a model
that is comparable to the GW products just for fun. I know the idea of using the Hind has been kicked around alot but never actually seen one yet.
The scale is close enough and the measurements of the passenger compartment are roughly equal to the old SM rhino body. So if the old rhino can fit 10 hulking space
marines why can't this carry 12 normal human soldiers right? Anything white on this fighter has been scratch built from plastic sprues, the engine
pods are taken from the pod race kit. I also did up the canopy with green stuff to give it more of the GW look. Additional rocket thrusters were added
tail and under the cockpit to lend some balance IMO. I also tried my hand at scratch building the weapons (2 heavy bolters and a multi las). I think
the bulk of this project is complete, still have some fine tuning work. Would like to add a skull or wings onto the HB's so it doesn't look so plain, I
drilled some rivet holes but don't think they showed up too well on the pictures. I think scratch building the wings was the hardest part next to the guns.
Mainly because I wasn't sure they would hold up. I also made the doors slide back and forth, not a big thing but I thought it was a nice touch.
Anyways, would love to get some constructive criticism or ideas on this project. Now I'm off to build my Vendetta. I'm guessing this would probably be a
great idea for anyone fielding a Voystran army?

Well I quite like it so far, ?admitedly it does look a little odd, but when you get a lick of paint on there it should look great.

Not too bad, not, too bad!

Wow! Another excellent conversion

This looks like it's going to be bigger than a Valkyrie, or am I mistaken? I'd love to see a pic of it next to a standard one

Great stuff!!!

Pod racer engines, that was a great ideal, always thought the Valk looked a little like a Hind. what did you do with the middle bit, bewteen the engines i can't see a decent pick of it. Great job.

That's tremendous!

To be fair I would have just Kitbashed the Valk and the Main body of the Hind, but overally the Hind is an incredible idea! Is it a Vendetta in game terms? It would make more sense.

Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed at him, we leagued with him, old chum.
No soldier's paid to kick against His powers.
We laughed - knowing that better men would come,
And greater wars: when each proud fighter brags
He wars on Death, for lives; not men, for flags.

No, this will just be the standard Valkyrie. I'm making a Vendetta next.

It was a small bit from the pod racer that I just used as a cowling to cover where the rotor would be.

I believe that it will be about the same length maybe a shade longer. Definitely not as wide.
