When you click on the pic. they blow up pretty large. To me it looks like a possible extra spur that will have the 40K stuff on it. IMHO (that is just pure specualtion on my behalf) If that is the case, then

Uh.... Did you look at the PS pictures? I don't remember seeing any pictures that had 40K stuff on it. The pictures have the DP wearing CSM shoulder pads and the CSM backpack pipes (?).

They're gonna make it 40 bucks. And I will have to kill them.

Hmm...I'm not that impressed with the model. But that's just me I guess.

I think it's a vast improvement over Smiley McSuckface that we have now. I'm really looking forward to the bits. Thanks to GS we'll get multiple DPs per kit.

I didn't even realize this DP wasn't out yet. The Chaos armor looks nice though, and that bit is news to me.

Well, they did say that it would be for both 40k and Fantasy, so this might just be the general 40k preview. Question is, when is GW finally going to release this kit?

When I saw the subject I thought BLOS had forgotten they had already posted the plastic Daemon Prince model (it's in the Warriors of Chaos book and maybe even the Fantasy Daemons book).

But this is new. Very new. Different head (thank God... the plastic DP heads are tragically horrible), arms, shoulder pads and backpack thingies. I like it so far.

At first I thought that was the current metal 40k Daemon torso, head, and at least the right arm, on the Bel'akor legs and tail. But upon further inspection, it does look like a new 40k-ified version of the plastic one. Which is awesome, because there was something about the sculpt on the other version that just didn't look quite right, certain parts seemed too exaggerated and angular.

Cool, if this if for real, I'll be picking one up.

Sweet. Once I start Chaos, I may use the fantasy one just for looks. Or kit bash for a conversion mix of the plastic and metal one. Dang.

Is it just me, or would anyone else like Cult-specific heads for their DP's? making the egyptian style headpiece for my Tzeen Dp was a real pain!

Doing a Nurglesque one is a bit difficult, as they tend to be quite a bit more than just a paint-job and some extra bitz. I mean, what other reason is there that the FW Chaos Dreads share Heavy Weapons except for the Death Guard one? And why there's a Nurgle Daemon Prince model?

For the rest though, it could be done. The kit has a sword and an axe, which is a good start for variety, but some sort of tentacle/whip thing for a Slaaneshi bent would be nice, and a staff for us Tzeentchian fans would also be good. Khorne can get an extra beefy looking head, and maybe some generic robes/tabards/etc. with room for icons to make them look different.

And hopefully neither of the two original heads in this kit. Totally ugly metal-Possessed-level bad.

Unfortunately, the plastic fantasy DP head is still grinning like a loony and looks like some kind of warp-spawned pedophile with candy in his van.

It's hard to get excited about this one way or another. I mean for starters we dont know when this thing is coming or what it will come with. The only chaos I model is Death-Guard and for Nurgle this kit so far does not look like a winner!
