If you only take one of everything, and an opponent picks off the only things that are threats to him quickly, how can you win a game?

A better idea is to pick stronger choices in each area: Fast moving Multi-Meltas, Predators or Vindicators, etc.

Q: How many of a specific demographic group are required to carry out a simple task?
A: An arbitrary number. One to carry out the task in question, and the remainder to act in a manner stereotypical of the group.

Cant take dreadnoughts as heavy support.

Drop plasma cannon and plasma gun and take melta and multi melta instead.

Drop your thunderfire cannon and take a dakkapred. your captain needs some kind of power weapon and where do you plan to have him ?

Since you have so few tanks, chances are if you go second, especially against the new IG codex lists, you're going to be pretty much walking the rest of the way up the board. You're going to have a tough time on scoring missions as well, with only two min squads of troops. You've got all your points tied up in costly but powerful units, but this also means your opponent has less to shoot at, and though you're a big threat midfield, you're going to get outshot at range.

You should also at least take a power sword on your captain, no sense in wasting his profile on normal attacks.

A freind and I run lists pretty similar to this. First, Get vulkan (I know, broken record but hang with me, i used to be anti-character). Next, keep the termies and make the squad 7 strong with 4 TH/SS, 3LC and a LRC/MM upgrade. Next decide if you want to use 2 thunderfires or not. Any artillery unit usually does best when you have two to set up supporting fire. I use 2 vindi's. But the I have seen the TFC in action and 10-16 S6 hits on a unit on average is nothing to sneeze at at 60". Next, your squads are fine with Plasma, everyone is going meltas these days but going plasma allows you to use your combat squadded troops to set up a crossfire at a range and power even termies can't ingnore. If you do it right the two plasma squads can take down both princes in a round or two so he'll have to deal with them, meanwhile the rest of your army is pummeling his. Put the other half of TACS in Razors. You'd be suprised how much it upps your options to use razors as walls and objective takers, I just started using AC on them, I can say its a big improvement over HB vs. MEQ. Next, to compensate for your anti tank (no meltas), take 2 speeders with HB/MM and two squads of 2 MM attack bikes. These units are very quick and allow you to put pressure on your opponent from the start. Even with what I have put down so far you shold have 420 pts left to plug any holes in your army. Currently I use another razor with a command squad to have another rock hard unit but I may go TAC to get another PC and the Razor/AC. This list plays well against chaos, another MeQ and Orcs so far.
