I know that it gives me options to deal with DS units, and Demons. But does it also convey its bonus on units that outflank?

No, as they are not arriving via deepstrike or daemons being summoned

frgsinwntr is correct about Target being correct. They Only work against Deep Striking units and Summoned Daemons, nothing else.

Try this one out, my buddy is planning of using this unit next to a FW Reaver Titan maxed out with the 9 Strength D 5" temple shots. God forbid something deep strikes near them.

Since he's playing with a Titan, that means it' APOC. And either both players decide to find the cheesiest combos that they can build, or you both agree to forget nonsense like the Mystic guiding the Titan.

Oh we both know it is uber cheese but also is my apoc ork list. I just wanted to post the most cheesy thing I have heard with the DHI + mystics.

A simple home-rule our group came up with to solve the mystic guiding titan deal (if you find it to be a problem) was we just don't let super heavies be affected by any "buffs" coming from non-apoc/assets/superheavies/gargants. This prevents the KFF mek shielding a field of stompas/gargants, mystic guided titans, etc etc. It's worked well for us so far, and kind of follows the lines of the rules in the apoc book of psychic powers not being able to affect super heavy/gargantuan models.

That is of course purely a home rule suggestion for people making their apoc game run smoother, and not an actual rule

We do a similar thing Target, and it works pretty well. There is still lots of fussing about Daemon Hunter allies being "OMG BROKEN WAAAAA!" but honestly it is probably because pretty much everyone plays chaos.

It occurs to me that you probably are one of the "We" I am referring to though
