here is the first draft of my 'ard boyz list,
HQ
chaplin with terminator armor
ELITES
5 terminators with 3 lighting claws 2 thunder hammers
5 terminators storm bolter/ powerfist
dreadnought with multi-melta/cc weapon
8 death company
TROOPS
10 man assult squad with rhino and powerfist
10 man assult squad with rhino and powerfist
10 man assult squad with rhino and powerfist
10 man tac squad with power weapon, flamer and missle launcher
10 man tac squad with power weapon, flamer and plasma cannon
10 man tac squad with power weapon, flamer and lascannon
HEAVY SUPPORT
vindicator with dozer blade
land raider
any advice would be helpful thanks!

Dante and Corbulo... I would talk to Greenblowfly about it. ATM It's not very strong IMHO but I would talk to him about Bloodangels.

Your playing a tourny, don't restrict yourself. Preferred enemy and furious charge is to much to not take.

Agreeing with EzeKK i would like to say Dante+Corbulo+Assault=Win

If you're going to take a mech approach don't skimp out on the rhinos and heavy armour... drop the dread... i dont see his role in this list and instead give all you're tac squads rhinos. All or none with mech is the best way to roll, maybe with 1 or 2 unmounted squad not half you're army unmounted. 5th edition is all about mobility and especially blood angels rhinos give this to you're troop choices. Perhaps make the landraider a landraider crusader since it cant fit in you're assault squad and chaplain (blood angels landraider can only fit 10 models or 5 terminators).

Next if you're going to deep strike that shooty terminator squad get an assault cannon on that squad; so you can either land behind a vehicle and get some rear armour shots or just more shots agaisnt an infantry unit its worth it. Or if you prefer take a heavy flamer, 5 points only and it makes a great horde killer along with the storm bolters.

oh and right Dante and Corbulo, seriously......

Your problem starts with your tac squads. PW on tacs is a bad choice. PC isn't THAT bad but ML and MM and far superior. Same goes for the Lascannon. They all need rhinos truthfully.

The lists i've seen do well with blood angels have vets with special weapons in them and a lot of mobile units, not units like dreads or running termies etc.

I just don't know much more than that for BA really....

Blood Angels right now are a gimmick army that doesnt do much well.. but it does ONE thing really well and thats combined assaults and causing no retreat wounds

I won semis last year with BA and they're not a bad list you just gotta do the same thing every time and do it well

You have to have dante and corbulo.. Again, the BA list is extremely linear right now and those two are a requirement in 'ard boyz

I wouldnt use shooty terminators because assault ones are so devasting with reroll hits and furious charge. But 34pt terminators are good regardless

Tactical squads need meltas.. BA can destroy hordes if you understand when and how to assault

Attack bikes are also very good

You dont need that many troops for this years event because you only have to hold MORE objectives not 5

Couldn't agree more.

I'd drop the Land Raider and Termis for some Baal preds. Maybe upgrade the tac squad flamers to melta's and get some Vets either JP or mounted in a Rhino.
