i'm starting to build a new gaming board for planetstrike today and the bastion needs to fit into some places...
unluckily i couldn't get my hands on one yet... that's why i really need to know how big the base of the tower is, as exact as possible please

The base is a square 5.5" per side. It has some weird reinforcement bars that stick out in pairs near each corner a well at ground level, but these can be worked around easily...

If you mean the 2" long slim bars, the Instruction booklet (SHOCK! Someone read the booklet before assembling! ) says these are not needed for a single Bastion. I presume they are for linking 2+ together.

I make it 14.5cm square base, with some slight (2mm) protrusions ("reinforcement bars"?) on each corner.
It stands 18.5cm (8 1/4") tall to the top of the walls, but the gun or comm station can be higher than this.

No, these:

If the OP is gonna try to pre-make a space to fit a bastion before he gets one it might be helpful to know that the bastion's footprint includes these (though they can easily be cut/removed if need be...

thanks for the quick help
on the new gaming board i'm including a self built trench system, and the bastions will be placed in wider area's simmilar to those where you would put an artillery piece.
with the dimensions i can leave enough space so infrantry can be placed around the bastion in the trenches ^^

18.5cm is closer to 7 1/2" than it is to 8 1/4, 1 inch is roughly 2.5 cm so 8 inchs is 20cm and 7 is 17.5cm. No comment as to how i know what 8" is in cm...
