Does anyone know what the significance is of the first founding chapter order. I'd have though it would be the order their primarchs were met with in the great crusade but that would mean the Luna Wolves would be the 1st legion, which they aren't. Anyone know? Is there any at all?

I think it is probably the order in which the primarchs were created and/or the order in which the legions were founded.

I think that the numbers on their test tube, was the order that each primarch was made, and as each legion was made from the primarch, then the legion would be the same number as was on their relevant primarchs test tube

Merely order of creation or even simple labeling if they were all created at the same time. I suspect you have a theory in mind, whatwhat.

No sifnificance. the numbers just represent the order they were created. So yes DA were the 1st legion But Horus was the first Primarch found.

i dont think its actually detailed how the emperor found horus

Is it not mentioned in the new HH series books. HE was found on ctonia But not sure exactly how

It was in one of the Index Astartes

Alpharius and some fella's from the world he was on attacked horus's ship, i don't know how, but somehow Alpahrius etc made it onto horus's ship
