Olynder done! Didn't care for the original white colour scheme that GW did (feels more festive than grieving), so I opted for a darker, black-ish palette:

Holy smokes Elmir that's a cool looking ghost!

I've managed to finish my branchwych. Not the best I've done, but good enough. Just got to clean up the base edges a bit.

@Elmir Olynder looks ace, but honestly my favorite part is the base.

So many fancy things in here! Really inspiring!
That KoS is awesome, really love the vibrant colors.

WIP of my treelord ancient. Had hoped to get it done last night so I could work on the looncurse I'm picking up today but didn't get all the way there.
Anyone have a good idea how to reduce the image size without reducing the quality? (on phone) Not a fan of the huge pictures I get with the imgur links.

Built Ylthari's Guardians, not really reportable except my camera decided to make them look all freaky:

Thoughts on colour schemes for the flesh? Thinking maybe very pale, with red in the gashes or perhaps black and green fades on the extremities of the limbs? The wood will be along the same lines as the dryad's bark.

Stormcast heads have always looked too small to me, so I thought I'd try greenstuffing hoods on Sequitors. Test model seems to have worked out well.

We really need a like button or thumbs up button. Too many people to name and say great job.

Great job everyone. So numerous to mention.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Hi all,

We're starting up AoS again at my FLGS so starting with a Starter Set Tournament. As i used to play Vampire Counts back in Fantasy it had to be the Skeleton Horde Box for me, although i opted for Mannfred and Hexwraiths over Arkan and Black Knights. So here's my efforts! Makes a nice change to all the Blacks and Reds from painting 40k Black Legion and Word Eaters! Last photo is them with my last remaining model from my Vampire Counts days!

Also I've decided to make some scenery so there's also my efforts on a Wizard/Necromancer Tower made from the Formula tins for my 8 week old baby! Early stages yet, but will be using this as a base for another tower, and a large church with graveyard.

Sorry for the rubbish camera work!

WIP 2. Ever so slowly getting there. Still need touchups, smoothen the transitions in the beard and horns. Then highlights and base ofc.
I really feel the need to finish this and start the looncurse models.

Thank you.
As it aint painted, i dident want the images to be normaly represented.
Only issue i had was the greenstuff gap filling i had to do. i have never used greenstuff for proper gap filling before so i have to hode it with lots of dark paints =P (in hindsight i should have trimmed the sword aswell, but i guess vamps has no issues using big swords)

horse; hexwraith.
vamp lady+sword: mortis engine kit; part: 63-67(head is spesificly nr 63). sword is part 41. cut the hand from its body and trim the sword.
there will be a big gap between the vamp and the horse, fill it with your prefeered material.
use plasticard or other suitable materials for completion of the reigns.

Progress on Ylthari and friends - it occurred to me just now I don't know their names:

Found between the bark and the hair and the fidly bits there really wasn't enough surface area available to paint muscle fiber and stuff. I dunno... The skin looks really blotchy to me and I'm not sure how to fix it, or maybe it just needs a highlight.

The colours themselves are more or less where I want them and I've done some experiments with clump foliage and I'm going to aim to use matte varnish to harden it up. Hair is just celestra gray right now (need to finish everything under and around it before I shade with oxide and highlight with ulthuan), heading out after work today to pick up some remaining paints I need to do the metalics, power weapon fades for the sword and axe and a few touch up's here and there.

Nice work on Ylthy & Friends (I believe that is, in fact, their actual names), I bet that took some time.

Good looking bloab there, he does look pretty light on the shading in that image!

Aaaand with that, Ylthari Inc. is complete:

I'm actually really happy with how they turned out after all is said and done, topped them off with clump foliage from Woodland Scenics (olive on the revenants, light green on the bases) which I hardened with Vallejo paint-on varnish and drybrushed with nurgling green, and some realistic water effects, also by Woodland Scenics, which I just managed to apply without having it spill over the rim and make a horrible mess.

Together, they're the first properly finshed set of models I've done for my sylvaneth and prove out the swamp/wandering river theme I'd been talking about doing for years and I'm excited to do more.

On the Internet

So I had been looking at starting Fyreslayers this last week, but with two new guys doing the army I decided to step back and try something else. So now I'm working on an army Inonce played back in WFB: Angry Goat Guys.

I'm a wretched phone poster, so just in case this is massive, here's spoiler tags on my first model WIP:
Spoiler:

On the painting queue behind the Herdstone is the Start Collecting box, a box of Gors (need them for one of the Battalions) and a box of Bullgors (because I like the Minotaurs and will find a use for them somehow). Oh and the Endless Spells (I see a possible combo with the crows and another spell you can cast thay uses Leadership, but that's about it other than annoying people with the horn I think).
