I know all the weakness my Necrons have in 5th Ed. unfortunetly. Was just wondering how this list would be recieved.

Necron Lord w/Warscythe,Res Orb,Nightmare shroud,Phylactery,Gaze of Flame

Destroyer Lord w/Warscythe,Phase Shifter,Res Orb,Destroyer Body

15 Warriors
15 Warriors
15 Warriors
15 Warriors

10 Immortals
4 Destroyers
4 Destroyers

Monolith

5 scarabs w/Disruption Fields

I also play SM,but was just wondering in the current enviroment how it would do.It is Nothing fancy just straight forward Necrons

this list might far really well in the 2nd game being that troops are 3kp. its just that your going to have to keep moving around in order to survie. I would personally prefer to have my lord attached to the warrior unit to keep them otm. its just that with 5th you need to keep the troops moving and capturing objectives.

Just a few possibly relevant questions:
- How will you deal with Mech armies?
- What reliable anti tank do you have (av14 in particular)
- How can you keep CC units from steamrolling a unit of Necrons per turn?
- How will you get your troops to your objectives intact?
- What can you do about TEQs?

Just a few questions which I think are worth asking, especially going into round 2 or 'ard boyz.

outside of hvy destroyer there is no reliable anit-tank one shot for necrons.Everything is glancing.CC almost does not exist in Necron Cedex.Pariah have I3,flayed ones have no pwr wpn, wraiths just suck in general except for their speed.Ctan are too expensive, but are loads of fun no matter the game.Tomb spyders are easy to kill with shooting in the first and second turn, scarbs are well not reliable in any way shape or form in CC.So until we get a new Codex we have to make do with what we have.

In my opinion, this is a very weak Necron List for 'Ard Boyz. Warriors are dead weight in 5th edition, and making an army out of them is not a good idea any more. Mech assault armies will ruin your day.

Anti-tank one shot units in the necron codex:
Lord with warscythe
Pariahs
Wraiths
Destroyers
Tomb Spyders
Monolith
Heavy Destroyers
C'tan

All of those units can penetrate tanks, so I don't understand the problem very well I guess. C'tan are amazing. I don't know why you think they are too expensive. Tomb Spyders are not "easy" to kill if you know how to play them.

As for the OP, warriors are terrible. Go to minimum warriors and hide them in reserve where they can be ashamed of themselves in private. I suggest taking the minimum 20, and using the extra points on another monolith or something.

Check out my project, 41.0, which aims to completely rewrite 40k!

2 or 3 monoliths is mandatory imo, maybe w/ 1 squad of 3 heavy destroyers.

For fa, maybe 9 wraiths? they are gold with 3+ invul, especially near res orb and a monolith to cycle back in.

For troops, maybe just 2 or 3 squads and the lord options with the rest of points in imortals?

Necrons are hard pressed for doing well but good luck.
