Mind posting a link for this gamestore? That sounds like a good deal.

Try the Warhammer 40k conversion to WW2.

I've heard good things about this ruleset too:
http://papertigerarmaments.com/PTArules.html

Rapid Fire also has a "lite" version of their rules (called Rapid Fire for Rookies), that they give away for free.
http://www.rapid-fire.uk.com/rf_for_rookies.pdf

But if you're serious about wargaming in 1/72 scale, I'd recommend non-free rules such as "NUTS!", "Disposable Heroes", "Rapid Fire", "Force on Force" and "I Ain't Been Shot, Mum!".

Each of these commercial rules are critically acclaimed, well-supported, and have a decent-sized following.

The gamestore is http://www.valiantminiatures.com/

You have to read the homepage. It clearly states all boxes come with 64 or 68 men, and tanks come in twos.

Two Hour Wargames does Nuts! and has a free download of the Chain Reaction system (the core system of most of their games)
http://www.angelfire.com/az3/twohourwargames/

Angelbleu's suggestion is a good one. Rule sets aren't terribly expensive, usu around $20.

I second the Chain Reaction rules. The stats for WWII stuff I believe is available on the TwoHour Wargames Yahoo group.

Another game system for you to consider is Ambush Alley's Force on Force. Go to Ambushalley.com and check out the rules.

Take advantage of an unarmed foe? Of course, those are the best kind.

My rules of choice for squad level combat.

But I would say that... I work for them.

I will add in another vote for Force on Force. It feels quite "realistic" (though without enormous amounts of fiddly detail) but still plays quickly.

We are actually working on the new version of the game which will be published by Osprey Publishing next year.
