So as i was in nightshift and had nothing to do. I tried to kill some time by making something for my 40k gaming group. Something to make games more interesting. It might be something that actually makes the game fun.. or it might be the most stupid idea ever. Or someone has even done it before? So i was thinking about asking for opinions.
So. i made cards with number 1-6 on them and idea is to play mission based game where your enemy doesnt know what are you trying to do. And i wrote the simple rules for it which are...
Before deployment
-Insert D3+2 objectives anywhere on the table.
After deployment
-Nominate 1 independent character as your general.
-Each side inserts 1 vital objective anywhere on the table.
-Roll for deployment as descriped in rulebook.
-Both sides pick a mission card. Don't show it to your enemy
before the ending of the game.
Objectives must be atleast 12" apart from each other.
To capture an objective, scoring unit must be within 3"
of the marker.
To capture a table quarter, a scoring unit must be inside
of it.
Non-scoring units within 3" of an objective or in a table
quarter will be able to contest it.
One unit can only capture 1 table quarter at the time.
Missions
1-Annihilation
Earn more killpoints than your enemy.
2-Seize Ground
Hold atleast 50% of the objectives.
3-Take and Hold
Capture your enemys vital objective.
4-Table Quarters
Hold three table quarters at the end of the game.
5-Hold the Line
Prevent your enemy for having troops in
your deployment area at the end of the game.
6-Assassinate
Kill your enemy general. Do not let him escape.
Any comments?
