you might want to get a super glue other than the GW stock brand
ive found that others work a lot better and the GW brand can aggravate...very quickly

Metal models should generally be washed before being primer'd as they may have some mold release on them. Plastic models usually don't.

These models must be pinned together or they will not stay in one piece. I took 2 oblits to Adepticon 2009 and if they were not pinned they would not have only not survived the games but the trip. Pin the parts together and use a small piece of GS in between the two parts so that when it dries it gives the two parts much mor surface area for the glue to bond with. Also, superglue on metal without some form of rough surface will not adhere well.

If a pewter model is giving me some guff a little trick I picked up is combining elmer's glue with super glue. This technique is easy and reasonably reliable. I haven't had any problems with it. Good luck!
